Yeah if what I've read so far is true, then we need to get him out before he gets fucked over. I don't care what this guy thinks he can pull off, but if he actually scammed this many people, he should leave progamming and never come back. This shit is literally unforgivable.

Can someone give me the Coles notes on Blight and whats been going on? First time ive been completely unaware of something that seems pretty serious. Would like to escalate it if its as bad as everyone makes out.

If this is all true, I really feel bad for Crane.

LuckoftheIrish's post on page 2 touches on a lot of the history involving Blackfoger and Blight. Basically, he has made numerous promises to players and teams in progaming(not sure if these were contracts or just unofficial agreements), then he has been unwilling or unable to follow through on said obligations.

Crane: "But I already signed the contract..."
Oh boy.

Oh boy. Fuck, this is bad. Best of luck crane, you;re going to need it. Is it legal in korea to sign a contract with out it being translated? as in could it be voided? Sounds like black foger is talking out of his ass when saying his players werer warned about his history.

I have the full conversation saved just in case. From what I know, however, Crane said:
1. He didn't know about the team's history 2. His contract was in English, not translated. It seemed like he didn't understand English well either, given that he told me he couldn't understand the cadred page because it was in English 3. He already signed the contract.

Not valid NerdBuster was a rumor site that published articles base on teams rumors. I know a few of them were published about a competiting team to create drama within that team.

I'm curious why you've avoided so many questions that people who know you from the past, asked. Also why didn't you translate the contract to crane? That's pretty shady.

So, everyone is out to get you and your team now? People in progaming are simply fabricating lies to distort your reputation? How about you own up to the questions raised in this thread instead of selectively answering(and ignoring) them, because it looks like you pulled the wool over Crane's eyes to gain an advantage in signing him.

Quoting this as this is basically what everyone wants to hear from Blackfoger himself

Did you lose your credit card and need "3-5 business days" to answer a few questions now?
I hope the contract can be voided because it wasn't translated to korean, because people deserve second chances, not 15 of them.

I'm not sure what contract law is like in the US, but in Australia you can't include unreasonable clauses in a contract or sign under deception, whilst under the influence etc... it's all pretty standard stuff. So the contract becomes unenforceable regardless of it being signed.
If some dodgy stuff is going on I would be very surprised if Crank couldn't just walk. I'd be disappointed if the states didn't have similar provisions designed to protect both parties in a contract.

I cant comment on any of the CS, SC2 or Dota goings on with blight, but in TF2, blackfoger has really and truly screwed over teams several times over the last few years.
Though I cannot confirm current standing, blackfoger, as of earlier this year, owed one TF2 player over $1000 USD for promised flights and hotels. Said player payed that out of pocket so that his team might be able to get to LAN and compete.
May be the same incident, but I also remember that a team was trying to check into their hotel, but when the hotel ran the credit card information (blackfoger's, or more likely as we found out, his mother's), it wouldn't go through so the team had to pay for the hotel out of pocket. That may or may not have been payed back, a lot of the articles and forum proceedings that occurred during that time have since been completely lost, but there are some really shady business practices going on with blackfoger. His past performance in the TF2 community has been spotty to say the least.
I really do hope that blackfoger can come through here, esports needs more sponsors. As far as I know, they have a TF2 team right now (blight.Xensity) that they are providing league fees, servers etc for, without incident. It is possible that they have cleaned up their act, as I never got the vibe from blackfoger that he was a scammer, just someone who was way in over their head on something that takes a lot more planning, organisation, work and money than they thought.
Skepticism here is well deserved, and everyone involved needs to be aware of the shady practices in the past. Blight is a bad name in the TF2 community, and it has a long way to go before it can even start building up a positive reputation.
some reading
http://www.nerdbuster.com/2011/11/blackfoger-has-been-caught-in-dirty-dealings-again/
really informative article on ESEA site about the TF2 team, some of the CS things and an ex staff member of blight (TheWhiz) talking about what went on and such.

*edit* Knew I had another couple articles from ESEA

Seriously, this guy is bad mojo, I dont really know who Crane is, but when I saw Blight on the sidebar on this site, I almost cried. I hope things turn out better this time for blackfoger and everyone involved.
