[R] BW CD problems... Help

Ok... I don't have my BW disc, its in my old comp that broke. My new comp has SC and SC cd key, but, no BW... So I downloaded SC mini. And the BW launcher. And the 7x w/e patcher. What this did was create a problem I haven't been able to fix yet (tried searching through blizzard help files). I get a Data File Error that says
"A problem occurred while trying to load a file
arr\mapdata.dat
The program issues a command but the command length is incorrect"

So I can't run BW from SC mini or even run SC from the CD now (I get the same error)... To make matters worse, the advice of the Data File Error is to reinstall, but everytime I try to uninstall SC now it has an error! Help plz :O

Spend $9.95 on bw instead of trying complicated workarounds?

Before people proceed to call me cheap w/e etc, note: SC will not work from the CD. Not because the CD is broke (it worked fine until I installed SC mini), but because something else has gone wrong. Don't come one here just to post advice like "just buy bw lol" that's not helping me at all.

umm, i had the same problem, my bw cd got broken, still had my cd key and sc cd, they dont bw here anymore.
check out bwprogrammers.com, and pretty much dl everythign that has anything to do with scmini and patch changing, and then make random combinations of all those programs (thats how i did it, i have no knowledge about computers at all), in the end it will work.

another problem i have with scmini is the map folder, where is it?
the connection of the place where i live during the week has a router, and dling maps over bnet is impossible, i can play just fine, so i thought id play some pgt cuz i can just dl those maps of the net, but i dont know in which folder to put them in, ive tried everything, but i always start dling again, scmini doesnt detect them or smth.
anyone know in what folder i should put pgt maps?

You're absolutely right that the advice won't help you now that you have already disregarded it for no apparent reason.

Do the standard maintenance operations on your comp, test the SC cd and files on another computer to make sure it's not that. If all else fails there's always the nuclear option, aka reformat.
