Really funny how people send such hateful emails to sponsors when they can't even give in a simple compliment when they would really appreciate it. Consistency, consistency.

I honestly think that Quantic wasn't hell-bent on firing Destiny TBH. Moreso, I feel that Destiny decided to leave the team because him staying would only hurt people rather than help. If that's the case, good on him.
But god I hope this community simmers down a bit.

This guy understands it, If you are defending Destiny and think we are pathetic cause we don't want racist, prejudice kids representing our community. Then so be it, we are pathetic as a community....... Don't you think you're being a bit selective, which is the crux of Destiny's argument? You're ok with violence, terms like "owned" hm... gee.. wonder where the term owned came from.... Yet you draw the line at someone using a racial slur in a "raging" or joking manner. Are you telling me you've never called a female a bitch, or someone a moron, or retard? You don't EVER stereotype people based on race? Destiny isn't the chicken. He's part of the group of eggs that are everyone in the community of gamers in our generation. He didn't create the slang used, or the offensive nature, or the CONFLICT that is inherent in games. You want to WIN, and someone else will LOSE. When you are the loser, you lash out. It's natural. Putting importance and meaning to the words of an irrational emotional person who just lost a game that they play for a living is a fucking joke. That's the problem, you somehow see his rage as joking. Calling someone a fucking faggot then telling them to fuck off g**k doesn't really seem like a joke, especially after the person whom he said it to makes a thread about it complaining. Again I understand that when you lose you can get frustrated but I'll reiterate what I said in my OP, when you make it a personal attack then that's crossing the line. Also to all this 'where do we draw the line' bullshit is tiresome, I keep seeing people posting it. How about we start at racial attacks. Seems like a pretty good place to draw the first line here.
So if you posted every replay you've ever played, every chat log from your messengers, and every conversation with your friends, you've never called someone a "fucking retard" or "bitch" or "moron" or "faggot" or "dyke" or any of the above?
You're a pure person who uses only the terms outlined as objectively morally acceptable by every group in existence who might take offense?

So instead of using 'gook', Destiny used 'dumassfuck retard'. You'd be satisfied?
No because that would be discriminatory based on a person's disability. Hey I can name at least 10 streamers who have used retard on their stream, wanna write to their sponsors with me too? I didn't write to any sponsors. I didn't even know about this until i saw this post and read up on it. But yeah you should tell those streams to stop using offensive language. Good man! No because I enjoy it, like many others. If people don't like watching streams with profanity you don't have to. Yeah that's why i don't! I watch stephano stream. Funny how stephano doesn't need profanity to draw in a ton of viewers. He can get viewers by being funny and with good skills and commentary. A real professional progamer. Destiny needs to learn a few things from stephano about managing the public. Really? yesterday stephano called hasuobs a nazi and asked him how many jews he killed last night. Why aren't there threads up already? That was totally racist and shit. Just for the record, i thought it was fucking funny and i am german. Hasu and Stephano are friends. They know each other professionally and socially. They engaged in banter based on their personal relationship. Stephano called Hasu a Nazi and asked how many Jews he had killed. Hasu made a response implying Stephano was an Arab terrorist. Both players were fine with this level of banter. They happily engaged in friendly chat after the match. Don't pretend that these situations are comparable. I thought it was obvious that people address people they are friends with differently to random strangers. Hasu or Stephano have not complained about the content of this chat. If they are comfortable with it, then there is no need for controversy. lol ? even if they are friends couldnt a jew be offended ? or a arab ? thats not excuse.. anyway all this offended crap is stupid f the esports police! The telling issue is whether Hasu was offended. You can ask him if you like. You can ask Stephano if he was offended by Hasu. It was friendly banter based on an existing relationship with previously established levels of banter. Stephano also has a weird banter with JYP where he calls him big-head. Friends can have private in-jokes. That is very different from insulting strangers. Do I really need to explain that?
You haven't been following the issue have you? The original guy who brought all this up on destiny admited himself to no be offended by the word gook, as well as the majority of people posting (including those hating on him). the issue apparently is not if he offended someone but that words are forbidden because someone, somewhere might be hurt by these forbidden words not directed at them.
so if you think the issue is whether the receiver of a word was or not offended then it should be a non issue here because warden admitted not to be. also, stephano called Pomi stupid a couple days ago, and he meant it? is that less wrong that calling him a racially charged word?

Do you actually believe that if Destiny isn't a racist at heart then it will be ok and fine for him to insult other races? Do you believe that if Destiny didn't have a neo nazi mentality that that would mean he could say racist things without hurting others? He said something that was wrong. He got sacked by quantic because they have sponsors to please. Nuff said. That's what happened and it was the right call. I challenge any one of you who backs destiny to post a youtube video with your face showing spewing racist terms. I mean if Destiny isn't a racist yet he uses racist terms then why can't you do the same on youtube? But none of you will do that...because you are all scared to do so. Because people don't like people saying racist things regardless of whether they have the neo nazi mentality or not.
Destiny is an easy target cauz he blabbers a lot (some people like it, some people hate it). You live in the U.K. right? Walk to your local pub and listen to all the racist jokes going around. Then sue them all. Go on. Or are you just satisifed with one guy across the Atlantic losing his sponsor? Go on then.

Right, because none of those viewers are Jewish who have family members who were holocaust victims? If Destiny is reprimanded for a silly word, then Stephano should too. It's the exact same thing. The hypocrites people are, it's mind blowing. Some people find it unbelievable not everyone is riding the Destiny hate-train. I find it unbelievable that people are saying that Stephano has the right to joke about such things whereas Destiny doesn't. It's the exact same issue.
It is not the same issue at all.
Stephano's words were insensitive. No doubt. However he was addressing them to Hasu. It appears to be an in-joke between Hasu and Stephano. Was Hasu offended? Go and ask him. Are you saying that friends are not allowed private in-jokes now?

So instead of using 'gook', Destiny used 'dumassfuck retard'. You'd be satisfied?

My post of how I feel about this is above, but I'm going to play Devils advocate because apparently you don't understand.
The fact of whether or not Hasu was offended is completely irrelevant. By the standards this community is setting, Stephano said something racist, so that means the team he represents and the sponsors who support him are associated with a racist. So leading by example, any viewer/sponsor/PERSON who was offended by what Stephano said should go complain to sponsors until actions taken.
Did I really need to explain that?
