Except they aren't trying to stop the use of it because of its origin, its because people continue to use it in a derogatory fashion towards gay people. Yeah, people use it as a general insult as well, along with "nigger". But how does that make it any better? Does that change the fact that they have been used to put down a certain people for years? Nope. You can't just say "oh in this community nigger isn't actually used in a racist way, we just use it to put everyone down." Well why the hell don't you just say the word "wheel" instead of nigger? Just go and call each other wheels cause in this community a wheel isn't a disk. You know why they say nigger instead of wheel? Because nigger has that insulting meaning behind it while wheel doesnt. People say oh just ignore the word and it will go away. Why not just stop using the word? No good reason to use it and it goes away. Using these words doesn't do anything. Stop using them and people wont get offended. | ||
