Why mad? your post makes no sense, I agree the post above except yours, They are doing the right thing and people like you are the one that let this keep happening, I don't see why they would be mad tbh

This means that sensorship because one dissagrees is OK, and just because it was expressed by someone that sounds reasonable, doesn't mean it's anythingthing but drivel. Do people really not understand that racism is not an opinion and it's not a "point of view?" There's no argument to be made for it. There's no logic. And people who cling to it are by definition abandoning logic. It is just plain evil.

If you take stuff spouted over the net seriously it's like walking around on eggshells. I am neither racist nor do I ultimately agree with it for the most part. But slurs in a computer game are not something to make a witch-hunt out of. There is so much more worse stuff going in real life thats worth getting angry over compared to this.

Community outrage. 4. 12 year olds think Destiny gives a fuck about them (see point 1). 5. 12 year olds make thread about how Destiny is in for a world of hurt if he doesn't clean up his ways. 6. Destiny obviously doesn't give a fuck. 7. Crying occurs. If this is what you think is happening here, I think you are incorrect. First, I do not think that everyone who is upset with public use of racist language is a 12 year old. If the implication is that it takes a 12 year old (or typical 12 year old characteristics) to be upset with this language, I think that is false as well. Second, I do not think that people who want to publicly decry the use of this language need to have an opinion on whether Destiny "gives a fuck about them". Whether or not he even notices the thread, the thread could still have a good effect.

Just stop, you wont "help grow esports" by doing so. It also makes you look like little crying children, who gets offended over silly things. Can you tell me how does it affects E-sports? If the problem is only 1 player?

Destiny then used that phrase whole time because he realized that his usual bm words on NA ladder didn't have much effect on Korean players. As a community, we have two options: One is to treat Starcraft as a random video game. The second is to make it as professional as possible and be proud of it. I actually don't play any other game anymore or follow any other community except Starcraft because I hoped that this community is different to others that I'd involved before moving into Starcraft. I'm not disappointed in Destiny at all. Just disappointed in Quantic; because they're the one that makes decision whether to allow this to happen. I've always been a fan of Quantic and hope the don't fall down the path of a "personality and bm" team. I didn't find him calling ladder players gooks offensive, just tasteless unprofessional and stupid. This, however... even though I consider myself primarily American, partly Canadian, 1/100th Korean I'm quite angry over this. Might have to reconsider the Razer I was going to buy to replace my old mouse.

It's disgusting that people think it's okay to try to force others to act a certain way. You should be ashamed of yourselves. If Destiny's words hurt you, don't watch his stream. He is a person playing a fucking video game. I hope he continues offending you people, because I want you to continue to be upset. You deserve not to feel good, and I'm glad Destiny exists to cause you this pain. I don't think that I can agree more with you. Well thought post. QxGDestiny fightingggggg!

Destiny is very intelligent, his stream is both educational and entertaining, and I know my money goes to support a man who is doing his best to support his son in what I can only imagine is a difficult situation. lollolololololololol Educational? I guess it expands your vocabulary? Whether that is positive is another manner.

I feel like there are a lot of people who didn't actually watch that video that JoJo linked. 1. It will give you a good 5 minute break from the thread which everyone probably needs. 2. It is very well thought out. Really? It's 2012 and there are still people with ideas like this? FYI, popular/kind speech doesn't need rules to protect it. That's ridiculous thinking. Popular speech protects itself by simply being the speech of the majority. "Freedom of speech laws" are made to protect unpopular speech.

And if they took an active interest in SC2 and saw this thread, instead of being alerted about it, who's fault is it then? Sponsors doesn't really care about the player or the team or the game, and they don't take an active interest in what's going on TL. Shit like this has to be solved in-house, without bothering outside forces like sponsors (you don't lecture your kids by calling the cops daily). Bug the sponsors long enough and you risk having Razer and Monster and the others start thinking that the StarCraft 2 scene is not worth wasting time over. Frankly, this is more reflective of how immature this fanbase is, than destiny is in particular. Why does it takes a Reddit/TL lynching campaign to get you writing to a sponsor? Why don't you have time to write something nice to the sponsors before?
