He has multiple times picked the words he knows will do the most damage possible when bming others. This shit he says often isn't done for humor, it's done out of anger and that's really not cool. IF this story is true, this is a pretty much whole new perspective. So I'm not going to say anything more without proof.

Instead its all about money, its all about bleeding this game and community dry as fast as we can while its still hot, shh dont tell the sponsors anything, just hide the weirdoes, racists, homophobes and dont...tell....anyone. Quite frankly i dont like that, i rather the community were built around good people that will also have mainstream appeal if we ever get there. Not being built around shady crap, 4chan rejects and memes like "u mad bro?" from yesteryear. There is no hypocrisy in wanting to have the community self-regulate. That's why the matter should be handled internally. Of course, it should not be ignored. Nothing to do with money or bleeding the community dry. It's really the opposite - it's about having a community that can sustain and moderate itself - nothing healthier.

I guess offensive players like Destiny have but one option left, and to put it in the words of the famous Mike Tyson, "I'll fuck you 'till you love me, faggot." The occurrence of this language in art is an entirely different matter.

He has the right to say whatever he wants. He is allowed to be racist. So if Obama says each and every person that ever thought of the Koran, doesn't belong in this world, than what?! America would oppose because their representative behaves in a way that harms them. Destiny, who sadly IS a representative of the SC2 community (being a 'pro') is doing exactly the same thing. The community (america, in this metaphor) resists, AND HAS REASON TO DO SO!

There's awareness and being concerned about something and there's vengeance.

However if these people actually get razor to force quantic to remove him from their team, or even razor might leave the "e-sports" scene altogether. then Destiny is being punished. and perhaps the whole community get's punished for someone expressing their freedom, and surely that is wrong. That is the only argument i came to offer, and i firmly believe that you and i are both right in what we have said. There's rather a HUGE difference in someone having hurt feelings and 10's of thousands of dollars being taken away from those who work hard to earn it. Including Destiny. In fact, one could argue (as incontrol, amongst others, are arguing) that this "movement" will actually do far more to harm others than help. Surely we can all agree on that. I can agree with that, but I think that it shows that it might just be time for Destiny put aside his concern for expressing himself without regard on a public medium. It might also be time for people who are going to be negatively affected, such as TL, Quantic, and any other starcraft-sponsored organizations, to step in and either discreetly talk to Destiny or public denounce his actions. Racism and hatred is just too hugely part of our world in order to ignore it and cite it as just personal expression. If you are trying to be professional, and trying to be viable financially, you are going to have to follow the social customs of the world. I agree hugely with the underlying message that Destiny has been posting with, that too many people are hurt by too many artificial things, but he has to realize that many people were raised in different circumstances that make his words more harmful than he could realize, and the intentional use of hurtful words in a humorous manner is even more insulting and disrespectful than he intended it to be.

It's been lost amid a sea of shit, but it's still there. I advise everyone to read it. I'd like to ask the mods to put it at the top of the thread as warning as well. Sponsors pull money/more sponsors withhold actions such as sponsoring a team or an event. Getting the sponsors in on this is really a all-around awful situation for the Esports scene. Edit: Sponsors potentially do the above actions because of the way that previous sponsorships have been handled. Incidents like this and the whole orb thing and the reddit witch hunt that came with it are just giving people more reason to not invest in the industry.
