and i know this is an "after the fact" kinda thing, but i did mention last week about the spurs being over-hyped. I never said they aren't a good team, i recognize their strengths and their legitimacy as contenders. But like I said. A streak mainly consisting of regular season games, AND their first 2 rounds being arguably weaker than OKCs illustrates further their over-hype.

they got 3 people that can hit 3s pretty damn well (james jones, battier, and miller) the only thing i see them really lacking is a good center, but i guess their success kind of shows that a good center isn't as necessary in the current era of basketball

(hmm time isn't working, it's at 1:04) and the one where Westbrook just lifted his shoulders up and Tony Parker fell like he ran into Perkins or something. If Cs can step it up one more time they should be in a good spot to win. Even after trading home wins Cs are no underdogs in game 7 given their experience and insane pressure on Miami to win. Hopefully Brons hands will be shaking. If Miami had a good pass first pg with vision their center wouldve been fine. With Bosh playing they are stacked. I dont even know why they have all these issues, it HAS to be lack of discipline or unwillingness to be coached.

I agree with those who said that Westbrook almost lost the game for them in the end when he should have been getting the ball to Durant or Harden, and that one pull-up jumpshot he made doesn't change that. He is playing a lot better in general however, and should be given a lot of credit for changing his game so much (high-volume scorer to passer/decoy). Lastly, I don't think he should have been called for a foul on the play where Parker got shouldered on his chin. Players are allowed to have their space on a catch, and Parker gave him none and put his chin where Westbrook had no choice but to bump it. Durant played incredibly, and did great on both sides of the court. He should have gotten the ball more in the end the way he was playing, and the hope is that the Thunder don't let the end result take away from that lesson. I feel like the Spurs are struggling so much because their role players are not stepping up like they need to. Neal is overdribbling and is clearly shaken by the OKC defense, and his response by chucking up ill-advised shots is not the answer. Green is a complete non-factor after playing such an important role all season. Splitter is getting abused by the OKC bigs in strength and/or quickness and his FT shooting makes him an offensive liability. Blair seems a bit lost out there, and his lack of height makes him a defensive liability when facing the type of athleticism and rim-attacking that OKC has. SJax has been solid, but not great. He's had at least one or two plays each game where he's hesitated on taking a shot that he needs to take without hesitation by my count, and that needs to stop because the Spurs need him as a threat behind the arc. Diaw has been rendered useless by the speed and athleticism of OKC, and the strength and toughness of their bigs. Bonner is too slow period. Only Leonard has shown up, but he's not enough by himself. In general, I feel like OKC is playing tougher than the Spurs, and most of the disparity is in the role players. The Spurs' big 3 are fighting back in whatever way they can, but the rest of the team is just getting pushed around. The Thunder have uglied up the game a bit and made it chaotic, which has taken role players out of their comfort zone. There's going to have to be a dramatic change for the Spurs for them to get past the Thunder, and I'm not sure if they can pull it off on the road against one of the best home teams in the league.
