Oh poo, question already got asked.
Keeps their fans interested, and keeps owners interested. I think the case here is that NO was just purchased and it certainly seems like a very small jump to imagine the league sweetened the deal with two first round picks.

Well last couple of games the 3rd quarter was key for most of the playoff wins Heat had. They have to start strong.

Holy shitting bricks. New Orleans actually got the number one pick. I might actually watch some games now. Still a bit miffed though-- if DWest, CP3 and Chandler had stayed on and actually played a season together when they were all healthy, who knows what they could have done? Ah well, the past's the past.
Now not sayin' it wasn't rigged but... thank you David Stern?

Could have had a Rose-Wade-James-Bosh-x starting line up. Dont remind me.
In fairness, they could have taken Westbrook or Love. Westbrook-Wade-James-Bosh or Wade-James-Love would've been pretty sick too.
edit: and grossly unfair to every other NBA team. Could you imagine the hate the Heat would get with 4/5ths of the East's starting All-Star lineup?

Rondo didn't even rest that half haha. Hope he can keep it up.

Grr, into the half with a 7-point deficit. Come on, now! GIVE US THAT BIG 3RD QUARTER

lmao still can't believe the Hornets got the #1 pick. I don't really care about hyped up college players but for the sake of Eric Gordon (the next big thing) I hope Davis turns out to be what they expect of him.

I think I would have taken Love for the rebounding and 3pt shooting over Rose or Westbrook.
Well, not sure how much more hatred the Heat could get.

I am still in awe as well. just lol.

Doc Rivers's speech sounded a lot better

Neither of them are exactly huge markets. san antonio isn't a true small market, they are just smaller than nyc or la, so they like to play the small market card, its actually quite a large market. cleveland got a home town boy and a few hundred million (exaggeration) jerseys sold, not a bad thing.
duncan goes to a team with the admiral? god damn, lucky that he was injured that year and they got to tank.

Allen looking more comfortable taking the 2 rather than a 3

Miami gonna have to keep throwing up prayers if Boston keeps playing like this.

Do you ever say anything in this thread about basketball other than anti-Miami sentiments?
|
In fairness though, the Spurs and Cleveland were genuinely bad the seasons when they won the lotto. It wasn't like when the Bulls won with a 1.7% chance.

Who me? Yeah, why don't you spend time going through my post history and check it out. Is anything I'm saying incorrect? Or should I get on the Miami bandwagon? What would please you, my liege?

Is it just me, or Chalmers looks like the fastest on the floor with that penetration? Need more energy from others tho. Come on!

I can no longer resist the sweet call of sleep. Best of luck Boston! I hope to wake up to a tied series.

I get what you are saying that SA isn't really a small market but it is one of the smaller ones in the NBA. Definitely in the lower half.
I do find it strange but I also have to disagree with the SA one being one of those. They really did tank it up and just ended up getting lucky imo. They could have given him to another team for it to make more sense that specific year to me.
edit: Bob had already mentioned my last point.
