Mid masters. Been losing a lot of pvp...unless I 2 gate proxy since no one scouts until after gateway....anyway...
Stargate seems to be a very popular choice in pvp and I can pull it off. 3 gate stargate expo while harassing with phoenix forces them to go blink stalkers (hopefully) and you go immo and pick up units in battles, or kill colossi if they went that path.
Hard countered by dts and chagelot archon. Is fast colossi realy the answer to chargelot archon? I even went mass air once and archons and warp in stalker reinforcing his army killed it.

Needs a replay. Every build can adapt to zealot/archon. It just sounds like you're not adapting.

The way i defend chargelot archon is to sim city stay as defensive as possible and try to h arras with blink stalker or a warp prism, and give the opponent the death of one thousand cuts, while staying behind a sim city or a choke, as attacking into chargelot archon in the open is a recipe for disaster.

You can only really stop it by scouting it early, with your pheonix you should be able to scout lots of zealots being made, if this is the case you can easily wall off at your natural and expand, the best followup to this is usually collosi.

3gate stargate is pretty much an auto-loss to DTs; that's why 2gate stargate robo is the standard for non-allin stargate play. Chargelot archon is easy though; just defend with positioning and simcity. Either he'll have to make a whole lot of cannons to defend his mineral lines or he'll have to make blink stalkers, and either one will delay his Colossus tech even longer. Any advice more specific than that would need a replay.

Assuming he goes dt's than turns the dts to archons. if you 3gate robo and attack with an observer. You'd be fine.
If he ff his ramp and get ht for archons than push out... not sure unless you do a 4gate robo drop w/ warp prism
ORRRR
3gate blink. stalkers with micra can pick off a small amount of archons in an army (assuming opponent doesnt have chage)
on a side not, Archon/charge lot is a solid build made up during the 2nd season i might consider doing again :D

Its extremely good, i went from top 8 plat to diamond in a week using a 3 stalker press into dts into chargelot archon. The only way to beat it is to stay in your natural and build gateways to buffer the zealots, in most cases they dont scout it in time though ^-^

Cheese is never the answer(imo). I was facing masters before school started so I know a little about the game, but I'm bad so take my idea and theorycrafting as such. I just started playing more than three games a week again so my three phase pvp build hasn't lost past part two yet :/
If he's using zealot/archon then the zealots, I think, are the damage dealers and the archons are what deal with enemy zealots. If you just make a building wall in your natural while building a stalker colossi army, then his zealots are stuck on the wall and the archons get ranged by everything you have. Your army will be smaller than his, but with defenders advantage building wall you will hold whatever attack (I think).
Assuming you use the wall idea here and he realizes he can't break you I think he has the option of doing what Huk does and going for double robo colossi to catch up and go for another timing attack or otherwise lose to a 200/200 fight. If he doesn't do that and you sit on two base I guess he can take a third and try to catch up on colossi though. I think there were a few pvp games where in maxed fights you'd use mothership to vortex their colossi so you have the higher dps for a period of time and win that way. Also unless he does the zerg thing and sacs units to cycle through them, he'll be stuck with food tied up in zealots that won't help without a flank or something later.
Hope that helps give some sort of idea as to how to win pvp games again without cheesing

Simple, this build has a bit of trouble against blink obs openings but thats about it. You open 3 stalker rush, however you get a second gas before stalker then CB it, then throw down a TC if you feel safe Continue to add on gates till you are up to 4 while scouting your opponents natural with your initial 3 stalkers and warping zealots in your main Throw down a DS when TC completes and place a proxy pylon. NOTE: this pylon must not be killed or else this build just plainly dies. if you have a surplus of gas begin researching charge (constant CB) while making zealots, save 2 warp ins and 250 gas for when dark shrine completes. send DTs into main one at a time, if no observer, head straight for mineral line and get probe kills
at this point if he went stargate, super fast expand or blink he just simply dies, now continue building zealots and DTs to morph into templars, you want to hit with 2-3 archons and a swarm of zealots. make sure you are attacking him in the open, somethingi like to do is bait him out with my intial three stalkers and then attack with the zealots. use archons to knock down FFs and then GG no RE

simcity helps out so much against all the various zealot archon timings

3g stargate is in no way an auto-loss to dts, unless you dont scout with your first phoenix like a fucking scrub who's afraid to show his hand.
