have you tried talking to your sister about her love interest? as in, why she likes him, why he is not a bad person, why you should agree to him? because coming on here and whining and cussing about, though there is a level of understanding and reason that comes with it, basically undermines your sister's judgement and values. she is 25, i'm sure there is a reason why she chooses to be with this guy.

It's insecure and pathetic for the following reasons:

1) he has a problem with asians dating white people: this wouldn't be a problem if he had confidence in himself and in his culture. Clearly he's scared those poor innocent asian girls might meet someone that, say, doesn't flip out on an online forum about some guy his sister is dating who he has never met.. for argument's sake.

2) He knows absolutely nothing about the guy. It's Canada, dude. The guy lives in Vancouver - if he's not on skid-row and addicted to heroine, hey just might be a pretty decent find. Besides, would you rather she met someone in (shudder) Quebec? ; ). You're living in the past, Mao.

edit: and let's not forget the guy is 17... He knows about as much about real relationships as the rest of us did at 17 - a lot less than we thought we did. His older sister doesn't need relationship input from this douche.

If it weren't for the overwhelming vulgarity and outdated social attitudes about interracial relations in his post AND if his sister was younger than him it would almost make sense to be protective. But she's 25, far and away more mature than he is (I presume) likely to ever be.
