The only worrisome thing for robo where you really suffer a build order loss is a stargate build which you find out very late. Usually that doesn't happen though and you can cancel the immortal and robo bay just fine then and only be a little behind (change into archon/zealot does quite well actually).

The key for the super safe robo build imo is to go zealot -> sentry -> stalker instead of the usualy zealot -> stalker or just straight up stalker. Yes sentry is less good for anti-scouting but that doesn't matter as much as it seems because 1) the probe will usually pull back out of fear of the stalker anyway 2) if you spread the pylons in your base a little it's quite easy to throw down the robo where the probe isn't 3) even if robo is scouted it isn't too bad as robo is really versatile, you can always go obs alone into blink which still does well against stargate.

I expect the recent and upcoming evolvement in PvP to be away from 4gates more and into lots of 2 gate robo builds. Robo wars are reasonably skillful at least as you can scout quite a bit with your stalkers, still it isn't the most exciting matchup ofcourse.

I really wish the warp prism would be buffed considerably as that might make PvP so much more interesting. Imagine for example if you could just make a warp prism instead of an observer saving yourself some gas and allowing you to do some cute stuff like immortal drops. Just a small nudge like 25 minerals cheaper and 10 seconds faster build time please!

Pretentious morons aside, As to the build, you pretty much need to see what the inbase hatch reaction does to him, and how many sents he can get based off that hard econ reaction. 3 with a 4th comin you're boned. It can be a gamble build like onl if he 6 gates can he get enough sentries, and then you can just metagame with the build, not so much a ladder build.
