Because the hosts of SotG had a different opinion that makes me wrong? What matters is the facts. NaNiwa made a stupid decision, I don't think anyone could dispute that, but to be punished for something that broke no rules is ludicrous.

After I've just paid $100 for GSL (without GSTL) I don't have a lot of sympathy for that fact the he couldn't be arsed to show a good game.

Not because it's Naniwa, but because this incredibly unprofessional and bad decision making, blaming someone else for their own lacking format. Gom hasn't broken any rules either. He's having his invite revoked. It's their tournament, why should they help someone who doesn't have any respect for them?

If he gets punished in any sort of significant way because GOM had a stupid format I might stop watching GSL. I MIGHT STOP WATCHING GSL! Sorry ![]() But yea, I think Nani deserved this. He got an invite Code S slot, and then he does something like this ... sure, it was a meaningless game, but Nani, if everyone did this, how the fuck do you think the game and tournaments would be. Instead of staying in, playing your best shit and beating Nestea in an awesome game, which quite a lot of people believe you can do, and thus go out of the cup with a bang, you decide to be disrespectful to everyone. I hope you get your confidence back, and I hope you learn from this.

Not siding with nani just against gom making up rules that only apply in cases they want them to apply to but ignoring blatant win trading and throws by other players.

It's very clear what his goals are and what he wants out of the game. I understand the difference in culture here but in a culture that prides themselves so very much on respect they need to stop saying such fucking disrespectful things about Naniwa, Yes, NaNiwa and CatZ make an amazing duo!

The professional solution would in my opinion be to condemn his behaviour for now, and change the rules for the future. Not make decisions outside the rules. (This is all assuming there's no actual rule against what naniwa did)

It's really, really fucked up. I agree, nullum crimen sine lege. I really think that they are overreacting way too much, yes he threw away a game and "robbed" viewers of a potential exciting game, but really, taking his Code S spot away for that? Terrible decision. Then again one could argue it's part of a customary law. In that case, yeah the punishment would be lawful.
