It's okay to cheese, but not proberush? Completely irrelevant. Double-gate proxy can win games. You do it when you think you can win with it. 7 Probe rush loses to anything lol, it's not playing the game. And yes, it's certainly OK to cheese. You can totally win with a 7 probe rush.... It just takes insane micro skills.
So by delaying the game by 2 minutes, by doing a double gate proxy, you're somehow no longer in the giant media shitstorm for not trying? what?

So what's the difference? Not making himself look like a childish moron, giving himself a chance, actually playing the game instead of not bothering, following the rules instead of ignoring them, and I could go on ... Probe rushing is a legit strategy though. I've lost to it a bunch of times on ladder. What league are you in? Bronze? It's impossible to lose to if you are a decent player and not a moron. You have more workers than they have probes, you can't lose ... Maybe he lost to SCV rush. Everyone knows SCVs are fine melee units hahaha

Grow up. 1) Yes because cheese CAN win. 2) Please grow up. Understand that what he did was ignoring the rules of the competition, acting like a moron, and whatever he gets out of this - he deserves it. Blatant disrespect towards the GSL, and NesTea.
I think he should get banned for a year. It's what he deserves.

In a pro game? lol? Trust me I can micro my drones to fend off a 7 probe rush even if it was from Naniwa...

Overreact much? Jesus christ they (koreans) need to calm down <.<

Oh Jesus, how is this still going on?
Why do you guys care so much about such an inane thing? Do you feel cheated out of 10 minutes of Starcraft?
Give that guy a fucking break...

I feel sorry for Quantic... lol

Well, I'm glad I didn't stay up late to watch this.
Naniwa might be 'a great player' -- which is questionable since it seems that everyone has solved him -- but man ... I would never want a guy like than on any team. Horrible attitude, just cancerous. Type of player that has the potential to make the players around him worse.

And yes, I am sure you can win ... if you are master league against gold or bronze or some shit, but as a master league zerg - no you cannot win it is straight up impossible. Regardless of how insane your micro skills are - if the opponent isn't a moron with no skills ... which NesTea isn't.
There was 0% chance he could win that game regardless of what NesTea did. That is what people are annoyed about.

Perhaps if he tried a legitimate cheese or something instead of a probe rush.

Feel sorry for everyone involved. Not going to bash naniwa but I hope he takes this as an opportunity to grow more as a person and a player

Give that guy a fucking break... a lot of people gave him a break after MLG, which in my eyes wasn't really deserved, no reason to let him get away with acting like an idiot all the time.
You punish bad behavior because you don't want everyone to act like that. It's that simple.
I would expect him to get some sort of punishment, and whatever it is, I agree with it.

Not showing his best strategy for a match that has no meaning is nothing anyone could blame him for. But sending all his initial probes to Nesteas base, taking has hands from the keyboard, knowing that this has 0% chance of success is just not acceptable.

Again, how exactly does it bother you? I what way does he hurt anyone by throwing away a completely meaningless game?

While I think this has been WAAAAAY overblown, I still think what Naniwa did is stupid. Playing a game like that is a good way to lose fans, and considering that without the fans he would not be able to do what he is doing (as in, play sc2 at a pro level) even though its a meaningless game he should at least give the fans a show.
But whatevs, thats Naniwa for you I guess. All work and no play.

It's all being blown out of proportion. The game was meaningless, had no implication at all, and both Nani and NesTea just lost three games in a row to get knocked out of the tournament. It should have never been played, if anyone deserves a punishment it's GOM, for allowing this to happen.
They don't let you finish out your third game in a BO3 if you've already lost 0-2, what is the point?
e; Obviously, what NaNi did was not the smartest thing he could've done, but who gives a fuck, he was eliminated 0-3 in rather close games, ofcourse he doesn't want to play what is essentially a showmatch.
