The fact of the matter is the fact that they claim theyre game is for casuals. Answers all the questions about why it doesnt or hasnt workedas an esport. Maybe it does have the potential and the wrong kind of people play it, which would make these guys not so bad. Also they didnt really talk any shit about SC2 tbh.

And Starcraft's demographic are mostly PC gamers. It's very difficult for PC gamers to respect a console shooter, when they have aim assist and the general slowness compared to PC shooters. This causes a lot of tension. I'm perfectly fine with not supporting Halo tho. It's not interesting to watch, and while it requires skill, there are other games out there with higher skill ceilings. Quake and CS or any fighting game, although they have EVO, are way more interesting than halo. Or COD:MW for that matter.

Oh man.... I dont think we'll be seeing them next season at the MLG Pro Circut casting. I play both Halo and SC2, switch inbetween those two streams when there is downtime in sc2 What the fuck. Most of these comments are just so ignorant and fucking stupid, I can't believe they even had the nerve to say live and also post up the video on youtube. I realize that a few sour apples don't represent a few communities, but I think that this will really start some tension between both communities ._.

What I have to say is that you cannot judge what Ghandi and the other guys have to say as "Our relationship with other games". This opinion does not reflect the halo community as a whole because the halo community does not have website like Teamliquid that conveys the opinions of the games community. During the whole course of me being a competitive halo player the only 'Halo community' that existed were a few people on the MLG forums who would complain about their team being bad. Ghandi and these guys, while being somewhat known among halo players, don't voice opinions of halo players as a whole in the slightest.

I can't believe you are taking this much offense to what they said. It's like if a SC figure jokingly called Halo players frat boys (and I'm pretty sure something along these lines has been said in at least one SOTG). It's not serious, it's not a big deal, stop flipping out.

I think these halo players confuse e-entertainement(games for fun ex.skyrim/amnesia etc.) and e-sports(has to be comptetitive and based on gameplay and skill ex.BW, sc2, cs 1.6) some games are in between right now, halo, COD, hon/dota/LoL. they have a competitive scene but they require minimal investment and dedication to be pro. the skill cap you can reach with analogs controller is very limited same goes with a 5 abilities based game like dota. If there is a bigger scene for sc2 its because it is much more entertaining to watch due to the immensity of gaming skills that is recognizable when watching. playing dota and halo is quite fun. but i wouldnt pay to watch someone else play. edit : wtf no style? TLO !
