You might not have this opinion, but I've seen many other comments in this thread about people not thinking that FPS's in general should be esports. This is just annoying because these types of games THRIVED for a very long time, everywhere from COD1 to Counterstrike 1.6, having prizepools larger than most today. They were staples of the CPL for a number of years and might still be alive today if not for the fucked up owner of the CPL not paying winning teams their prize money. When people say this, I don't think that they actually understand all of the little intricacies involved at actually taking your game to the next level. These games (not sure about halo, and more recent versions of cod) involve just as much of the mind game as starcraft. It requires IMMENSE teamwork and communication. I just don't really like these constant opinions of these kinds of games not being e-sports as they really could have been to this day if for more fortunate circumstances.

![]() Nexy is a nice person and wasn't being entirely serious (I believe he even admitted that he was just creating some dialogue and playing devil's advocate). He cares a lot for the various gaming communities (Halo, especially) and has done a lot for them over the years. And it's interesting that some of you are grouping together Halo players by the opinions of three just as they grouped all of the pros into a certain image.
