So peta officially hates super mario 3D now because it promoted the wearing of fur, particularly the wearing of Tanooki fur. They even went so far as to make a game wear (lol me) you are a skinned dying bleeding raccoon (tanooki) chasing a flying mario who is wearing your skin. Does peta have a point here or are they just looking too far into something. Try the game out, its actually challenging and fun.

Oh wow... this is seriously retarded
|
PETA has always been about publicity and always will. I honestly don't think they give a shit about the mistreatment of animals at all and just enjoy the attention their bullshit gets. This is no different.
|
They never had problems with killing turtles in Mario. Why do they have such a big problem with this. It is fucking retarded if you can't wear virtual animal skin, because it promotes wearing fur. Thats just ridiculous. I don't think any kid will think about wearing animal skin just by playing mario.
Animal activists are sometimes just too narrow minded IMO.

EDIT - NVM the game isn't hard, the jump key is just really fudgy, hold it down to jump for miles. Also, I think this is less protesting the tanooki suit as seeing it as a 'clever' way to promote their usual message.
Think of it like the CDC's release of that zombie survival guide.

PETA is the same as Westboro, just attention whores looking for publicity. I think it's best we ignore them (while laughing at their stupidity), and let them die slowly. I can imagine the ad campaign
How would you like it if an Italian Plumber wore your skin? PETA protects Tenooki.

That game is actually pretty fun!
But calling mario evil is just /sigh!
Mario is the gaming industry! It was my first game i played, a family game, i remember as kids playing it taking in turns on holiday on the gamboy (the big beefy one) so much fun!

So how about people stop posting fucking retarded and pointless threads? General section is full of shit nowadays.
Also stop giving these motherfuckers attention
|
dude don't they know mario always has a beaver hat for flying, donno if thats whats it for but too darn tootin bad hes had it since before they were around @ mario 3 for NES!

When on a mission to rescue the princess, Mario has been known to use any means necessary to defeat his enemy—even wearing the skin of a raccoon dog to give him special powers.
If wearing the skin of a raccoon dog gave me special powers, I would wear it too.

PETA crying for attention? Who'da thunk?
Still, I liked their "I'd rather go naked" campaign. At least it gave me a reason to look at their ads.

We can eat all the animals we want, but not skin them? pff /care
|
I believe here on TL you can find quite a bit of information on PETA that will put them in an ugly light for 99% of the population, considering they preach save animals and dog pounds put way more animals in home than PETA while they only had like 1% turn over rate or some shit?
I remember reading that in one of the articles here. It's weird my sister used to be a part of PETA too =/

Sigh Peta. This is just too far and it's like the people who take political correctness to the absurd extreme.
|
Fun game. Challenging but i got my skin back. 19 seconds.

Peta are stupid, and nobody should care about their stupid arm-waving, attention-whoring antics. I think a different thread was already opened on this topic, and was closed. I don't think this is a big deal really, just peta being peta.
