I tried using search. But I'm still having hard time deciding which mouse I should go for. I know mouse preference is personal, but I'm looking for the mouse that gives the most advantage in Sc2 and upcoming DotA 2.
I'm a palm gripper myself but I realized that fingertip/claw grip gives more advantage in RTS games. So I want to adapt to those grip styles. I'm not worried about RSI since I'm not going to play games 24/7 and I will be using a difference mouse when I'm not gaming anyway.
Although not critical, these seems to be the desired features in mouse for RTS:
- Optical laser
- Fingertip/Claw Grip shape(e.g. LMO, best shape for RTS?)
- Very light
- High DPI setting
- No acceleration or prediction
- Low lift-off distance
Of all the threads I read these mouses seem to be most prefered for RTS games.
1.) Zowie MiCO
2.) Logitech G9x
3.) Razer Abyssus
4.) Razer Deathadder
5.) Logitech MX518/G400
6.) Cooler Master Storm Spawn
7.) Razer Spectre
Many believe that the Zowie MiCO is the closest to perfect mouse for RTS. Mainly because it has an identical shape to the popular LMO and it has little to no acceleration or prediction. The only issue is that the 1600DPI is emulated so only up to 800DPI is usable. But I'm still leaning towards Zowie MiCO right now.
I have a few questions:
Q1.) What is the minimum DPI to comfortably play Starcraft 2 in 1920x1080 resolution?
Q2.) Should I get SteelSeries Qck or Qck Mini?
Q3.) Are there any upcoming mouse that might be better than Zowie MiCO?
Q4.) Has anyone tried most of the mouse that I listed? If so, what do you prefer out of all of them?
Q5.) What mouse do you consider is better than Zowie MiCO?
Any help or opinion is appreciated, cheers.
