Especially with the very young, punishment should be thought about with care, precision, and mostly importantly compassion. There are ways to express to your children that something is important (for example, apparently not stealing in this case) outside of traumitizing them. A parent or anyone dealing with children, I think that's a very important notion to keep in mind. Very bad things that happen to kids don't just become a memory, like recalling a movie. The actions affect their world view, their behavior, and their ability to adjust to modern society: therefore in turn affect education, happiness, family life etc. | ||
