I'm with this. How does the kid not get up in the middle of the night and steal some water? He doesn't just run for it? Damn, what a good kid for listening so vehemently. I hope these two get life in prison. Even that feels too good for them.

Fuck the news. I don't even know what to say. 5 days is a pretty long time to go without water. I can't go 6 hours without feeling really thirsty, I can't imagine 5 days.
The poor kid would have gotten really skinny and fucked up from the lack of water. His blood would have been the consistency of syrup.

Whats even worse is the day he died the parents made him eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich which the peanut butter got stuck in his throat and they still wouldn't let him have water.

You don't think he might have just been afraid of being caught and put through an even worse punishment? They clearly were abusive to the kid, and it's not like it's terribly hard to abuse a 10 year old into subservience.

They must of locked him in a room when not being watched, even a 10 year old would know he is dying and would seek water/attempt escape when he wasn't being watched. Which makes this even more insipid. Amazing how stuff like this can still happen where it happened. Haven't we become civilized yet? Or better yet, intelligent? Well.. apparently not. I'm angry now. The kid probably did drink water at night, probably only reason he lasted so long. I get dehydrated extremely easily myself, and whenever I do, I wake up really tired the next day due to lack of body fluids. He was probably dehydrated every night before going to bed, then wake up too weak to even complain about the punishment.
fuck, i'd rather he get beat than this shit.
