Stupid people do stupid things; sadly, oftentimes others are harmed in the process or, as in this tragic case, killed by it. On August 27 2011 22:00 TelV wrote: Meanwhile in America... Naa, I think the torment of Tantalus punishment would be more appropriate. In Greek Mythology Tantalus was forced, for all eternity, to stand chin-deep in water that receded whenever he tried to drink. Would be so appropriate.

On a side note, I think it's really alarming how easy it seems to be for some people to dehumanize other human beings. Count yourself lucky for not being responsible for the punishment, you wouldn't want to live in a society that's justice-system is based on an eye for an eye.

Now, you do that, and you will be punished by the law. Society is clearly going downhill.

I truly have no place in my heart for people like this. Every time I read some fucked up shit like this I just want them to suffer in ways much worse than what they had done to the victim(s). My heart goes out to the twin brother

I know I've been privileged to have a good school system, but are there really schools somewhere in the US that don't have a single health class or 3rd grade class where they mention that water is needed? I just checked and health is a required class in Texas. Maybe it has more to do with the individuals and upbringing than the school system in this case... There has to be something wrong the parents, or at least they're complete and utter idiots. This story makes me incredibly angry; I hope they are punished as harshly as possible.
