In the credits here are some of the people thanked who worked on StarCraft.
James Cameron (Titanic) Jackie Chan Stanley Kubrick (2001:spaceoddy, Clockwork Orange, etc) George Lucas (Star Wars) Michael Mann (Collateral, Ali, The Insider, etc) Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, etc)

probably for copyright material

I'm not sure what you mean, elaborate?

They also credit Guttermouth, if you watch them all the way through on the game. The only Guttermouth I know is a punk band.. +_+?
|
They were propably helping with developing the plot etc. But Im not sure what Jackie Chan could do there ^^
|
I guess they'll have to, for the various movie quotes some of the units say.

I find it extremely hard to believe that any of those individuals were involved in any way in the production of Starcraft. The most likely explanation is that those who created Starcraft were thanking the people who had inspired or influenced them in some way by their work.

It's like on the inside of an album sleeve where the band thanks thier parents and friends and all the other bands the listen to.
These guys are just people who inspire them or whatever. I'm sure if you look hard enough you'll find them thanking buzz cola or something equally as silly.
|
People credits who ever they want, sometimes it's jsut because they like the people ... I'm sure more than half of the movie scene people credited don't even know what is Starcraft!

hey gigglepants, did you know gullible isn't in the dictionary?

Yep, and to me thats quite obvious Jackie Chan working with SC?
I remember seeing a VOD of a final with Jackie Chan as a spectator. It was a few months ago.

Stuff like this vexes me. First off, how does that insult fit in here? Maybe if the source was unreliable, and I came to this forum saying that Blizzard credited Stanley Kubrick, etc on their credits which was total bullshit, then I would be gullible and your insult would be appropriate. But the fact is that the source is legit and you're an idiot.
Until then, keep your deficient comments to yourself.
