As far as the overall level of play, it's too early to tell. I can, however, say that the GSL Team League in February showcased a much higher level of play than anything thus far, in either the GSL or TSL.

There were no obs in TSL games, it was casted via replay so there wasn't any cheating involved (unless either play used 3rd party software). But yeah there is cross-server lag and dc, as in the boxer game 1, which was unfortunate.

Sure the last GSL finals were disappointing, but that was expected considering that July's ZvP was definitely not up to snuff to MC's style, and July was absolutely clueless against MC's 6 warpgate sentry timing attack. A mismatch of skill levels and an unsolved abusive build all contributed to an expected roflstomp, but it's not truly representative of the GSL as a whole. We still got tight games between SanZenith and everyone else not named MC. Nada vs July was absolutely intense. MKP pulled off one of the most immaculate mass factory pushes against Kyrix. GSL is still awesome, but you just need to look for the proper games to watch, not just the roflstomps. TSL should be an absolutely amazing tournament, especially considering the lineup in the brackets. We have the best of the Korean scene, the best of the non-Korean scene, former BW legends, and ominous upcoming unknowns all battling it out in what could possibly be the best international tournament yet. Of course, not all the games will be entertaining and close. MC vs Ciara is expected to be yet another roflstomp, possibly eclipsing MC vs July in pure ownage. There is no guarantee that TLO vs Nada, Jinro vs Morrow, or Nestea vs Goody will all be fantastic series. There is no guarantee that players will play their best or not resolve to use cheese. Heck, there is no guarantee that we won't get random disconnects during games. We could be seeing cheese for the rest of the tournament, or we could be seeing epic macro games. GSL has been played, and many of its games are quite good. TSL has yet to be played, and like a Christmas day present on Christmas eve, we all shall eagerly await the games that will come out of it. Essays and walls of texts aside, I guess I prefer GSL slightly more than TSL. The entertainment is more likely to be top notch considering the lack of cross-server lag, the quality of the Korean players, the production values, THE MUSIC, and Tastosis. TSL is still looking quite good so far, though.

-Only the GSL has the one and only casting archon, there's no couple that can compare -The GSL is completely live, and has booths, and music, and k-pop, and all that insane production value and ridiculous things only koreans can do. -I like how exciting every match is, even allins are. -This poll is biased, since it's made right after the TSL playday 1 Imo it doesn't matter if I don't know the results. Being live just gives it that little something extra that makes it better and more exciting. Also, I've watched so much GSL I've grown fond of the players, a lot more so than EU/NA players except for a few names. For example, in today's matches tyler's win didn't cause me any feeling, while FD's loss ripped my heart from my chest from sadness. I just never "see" tyler playing, while I "saw" FD performing the miracle, LIVE, and it was goddamn awesome. On a game level, the GSL players seem to have a better understanding of the game. Many here say "well, all koreans do is allin, so boring so boring". But the real reason we don't see that many macro games in the GSL is because EU/NA players have yet to nail early pressure as thoroughly as KR players do. When players do hold, and games go on, we get INCREDIBLE macro games, not these "let's mass 200/200 and clash at the middle then GG", but games with action all over the place, drops, simultaneous multi-pronged attacks and other feats of epicness, tense micro battles for better positioning, awesome forcefields, EMPs, storms, tank positioning, etc. TL;DR: As a whole, in a game level, in a "TV show" level, and on a heart attachment level, there's nothing like the GSL. The TSL is awesome as well!!, I'd say it's the second best tourney ever, and when it becomes live, it will probably be right up there, side by side with it.

But personally I still think more highly of GSL. The players are more serious about it.
