i feel thats what the commentators job is to do... they are there to stimulate excitement. i watched the korean stream for the Gstar tourney and even i got excited just by the commentators screaming.. i also like how they tailor their casts to more mainstream players and not elite players who basically know everything. the only thing i cant stand is the observer view.. most of hte time im shouting at my comp to LOOK AT THE DAMN BATTLE and not the expansions -_-...

-They're not exciting [cant really blame them because white guys sound weird when they say "GEEE GEEEEEEEEEEEE"] -They dont have notes written down when they cast. For example, koreans research and write notes, so they have an idea how the game is going to turn out [they know the style of the player well, tell us.. We dont have time to watch every game and analyze it] -Dont make as many hillarious starcraft jokes like they used to -Please stop telling us what they're doing, and instead tell us why they're doing it.. Educate us.. I know they're making a robo i can clearly see it.. How about telling us why they're getting it at this time.. What they plan to do with it [eg it blocks a certain timing if u get immortal out now or something] Just some critisism... Dont get me wrong I think they're amazing commentators and I could never be that good.. But I think what i listed is what the viewers want to hear :\ at least me

btw artosis showed us that he can read and undertstand some korean ( as he's living in korea for quite long now ) i guess he must try to do a little bridge between us and the koreans.

I believe they are provided with such a sheet, but it may be sparse on info. Artosis seems to know some of the players decently well just by laddering and Tasteless will make mention of talking with a player backstage from time to time, so maybe that's something he could follow up on more, some sort of informal preinterview so that he has context for discussing the players when hyping up the match.

Umm... Are you joking? Artosis is EXTREMELY biased towards Zerg. He's gotten a little better but everything is still about Zerg. He does give all races the 'oh that's a nice move!' thing, though in general he does praise Zerg's for everything and anything. There's also the whole 'oh this map is horrible for Zerg' and 'oh this is gonna be tough the Zerg'. etc. etc. It's pretty obvious, though like I said he's been getting better.

My feedback. I love watching you guys and missed you guys when you were gone for Blizcon. I also think that the in game commentary is spot on and insightful. The pregame commentary is also usually interesting. I do however think that the post game commentary could use some work. It is mostly variations on "he's so good, or their both so good, or their both bad" without any specifics, and if there is time to fill, then this continues. Saying this once as a tagline is great I think, but it should only be said once, not repeated until the next match. I smile because I know you guys pretty well, but I think a new viewer would be turned off. Perhaps you can use this time to comment on the key moments of the game instead? Overall, I love listening to you guys. Edit: I also agree with some of the previous posters that a more extensive fact sheet could definately help, especially a stats sheet as the time goes on. You guys do a great job with this in general, but a more extensive fact sheet could help fill the time. Maybe a post game specific fact sheet to use in case each wins.... -Ben

Today the next round of matches came up on the screen. First he started reading them as if they were what they were gonna cast tomorrow then thought they were already casted matches etc etc. Does he have someone talking in his ear a lot? I'm sorry. I really love tastosis, but it's been some weak stuff at times. Improvements definitely needed.

But with all things in life - there are smalls things which can be improved: For me it's the observing. I was able to watch some of the korean observer - and he's miles ahead to Tasteless. I think that is, because he doesnt have to commentate at the same time and can spend all his attention on observing - so not really Tasteless' fault - but just the setup's. The korean observer points out things with his mouse - hovers over certain upgrades. He "clicks" them while they are in production. Pointing out things in the production tab. Clicking the eggs to show the Zerg is producing drones. He's "commentating" while observing without saying a single word. Which of course is a problem in itself. We cannot say "Just follow his camera", because he is doing more than just controlling the camera.

Artosis is openly biased on some occasions, and thinks he knows the end-all answer to everything. I like how Tastosis know each other well and joke around together, it makes you feel like you're watching the game among a group of friends. It's also funny when they talk about completely unrelated stuff like food or something.
