I've been doing this mission for hours, I can't seem to get the 50 kills achievement, even if I got a 51.
So a couple of questions.
Does it really have to be in hard mode, or can I do it in brutal?
Do I have to do it on my first try, meaning I can't just try, fail, reload 2nd cave, try again, and again.?
Does it have to be EXACTLY 50?
Do I have to finish the mission itself?
What I did it is choose the air mission, after that I clicked archives and played it the nydus mission on Hard, I can't seem to get 50 so I tried Brutal (because I assumed there were more units) so I get to the infested area, grouped all the infested terrans and snipe, i failed a lot so I just kept on reloading and reloading till i get 50 ( i checked the kill counts ) when I got 50 i assumed i needed to finish the mission so I did, but in the end I didn't get anything 
So can anyone answer my questions. T_T
BTW, I didn't get disconnected, because the other achievements were obtained.

You can do this on Brutal, because I got mine on Brutal. Did you check the end screen? It tells you how many kills the game recorded. Also, when you get those 50 kills with one shot, the achievement comes right then and there so you don't need to finish the mission. You don't need to worry about save and reloads and stuff. They shouldn't effect your game. And it has to be equal to 50 or over 50. Yes, and I also got this on the archives.
Try the area where you first confront the masses of infested refugees and marines, the area where that marine says "You're too late". It's a kill zone and I got about 80 kills in that area.
If you still can't get this despite that end screen saying you got 50 or more kills, your achievement is bugged but keep trying...

Btw, sorry for making a new topic for this, the achievement is just so frustrating. ._.
