Just build a photon cannon as soon as possible, then another. Then you upgrade those for a while, then you get missile turrets and upgrade those a bit, then you win.

Yeah, 1 laser -> 2 splash cannons + turrets = unbeatable.
You can solo it with 3 incompetant allies easily.

I always get a decent amount of upgraded turrets. Air units give more money and one time I held by myself for like five waves

Amazing Turret Defence 1.0SB.. before the stupid hero units and cannons were added, and this particular verison is just very good..

so do you upgrade the laser tower at all in the first five waves, or just build it then save up for a splash tower (photon cannon) ?

hahaa. it seems a little easy in its current mode, but it was fairly fun.
And running minerals (plus giant scvs) makes me giggle.
Worth a play through IMO.
I think when i played, i got 3 laser towers, 3 missle turrets, 2 splash cannons - upgrading appropriately (with of course detectors :D )

I think when i passed it i did something like, 4 laser towers to start, then 1 upgraded air tower before the first air level, then saved for splash ground tower, then just got 2 splash ground towers constantly upgrading them and scattered 5 or so anti air towers upgrading them appropriately as well.

that being said i passed it on the 80% setting, lol

i just got the download link from inside Bnet, couldn't find the exact version on any sites -,-

when you download a map from a site, where do you extract it for it to work in sc2? anywhere in the maps folder?

Wow I've done it 2-3 times more and I got another 3 skills.. if anyone is interested this means you can just do the same level over and over and get insane bonuses lol...

If anyone knows how to do level 2 first time without letting the champion get a hold of your gem I would be very interested!

Ok using the crypt one and getting chilling crypt seems to help a lot, and using meteor of course..but I did both of these and I only JUST managed to stop him before the gems WITH the extra 3 skill points I abused from this level. If you can do this level gold star first time you are some sort of hero...
