Okay, I might have been too absolute. He not bad under pressure, but he doesn't thrive under it like Bisu or Jaedong. It isn't as much pressure to be sent out in the ace match when Bisu's your backup and when you have a such a potent strategy.
Fantasy even said he only knew about the ace match one day beforehand and how anyone could've made the strategy work. That's not clutch. That's good play, but it's not thriving under pressure.
Fantasy's a good player, and he can win important games, but his level of play decreases in a do-or-die situation. I even predicted Fantasy would come out on Medusa for that reason.
It also is why he's been sent for ace only 7 times, accumulating a 2-5 record.

yeah i can concur with most of that. i don't even like fantasy, but i think it's important to give credit where it's due. what shikyo said is clearly whole a lot different from your thoughts.

Boxer's annihilation of Yellow simply showed that Boxer was in a class of his own in terms of micro, at least at the time. None of the complaints you could have are any better than those from the terran. Poor fantasy couldn't scout the four pool until the lings were a few feet from his front door! That's how this game is. And even with those adverse circumstances, Fantasy defended well enough that JD had to seriously trick him into moving those scvs to reopen any chance at all of winning. By nature, good cheese will catch you off guard. Is that too much of a problem for you?
It's much easier for Terrans to cheese zergs than the other way around. If you call 8 rax
rushes as an example of superior micro ability, you are delusional.
Fantasy and Canata can utitilize these neo boxer 8 rax rushes all they want.
Nothing pleases me more than to see them get faced bashed into the wall by superior opponents.
Flash / Hwasin / Iris have superior TvZ than Fantasy. I don't mind seeing them win over zergs.
They are known to be better than zergs at straight up game play.
Fantasy has Fantasy builds, but hugely lacking in the M+M department, that is why he will never
be a true contender / rival for Jaedong.

Hmm just watched the series. Games 1 & 2 were sick. That game 2 hydralurk army crushing mass tanks was freaking sick.
Game 3 was fantasy's fault for not watching zling count and screwing up building placement. Props to JD for hitting at the perfect timing though.
Game 4 was balls. Did that kind of building placement ever work in practice?

It probably worked every time the zerg didn't go overpool speed or anything faster. or on any other spawning location. Playing it on that position was clearly a gamble, and it didn't pay off.

1 game isn't enough to convince me, especially since Jaedong skipped lurkers completely.
I think Fantasy utilizes his cute builds to compensate for the fact that his straight up 1 rax CC M+M is weak.
I have HUGE respect for Flash's TvZ. He doesn't need cute builds. In fact, we lash out at him for
using cute builds.
His 1 rax CC M+M zerg crushing play is demonstration of his superior skill in that matchup.
