Regardless of whether or not it was 'cheese', it deprived us of an epic game. I would've gone to sleep content if Fantasy had won like he did yesterday in an epic game, but this was just a total anticlimax. Oh well, 7:25 AM, better get some sleep.

People constantly pointing out that they think a strategy isn't cheese is becoming just as annoying as anyone saying it is. I don't think hardly anyone was even saying cheese just saying that they were disappointed that it was not a more interesting longer game, but yet people immediately got defensive about it anyway.

btw thx sc2gg yeah and too bad klaz couldn't cast today Boxer+oOv = Fantasy. The new SKTerran is now alive ! God, so EPIC PL.

I must say I'm somewhat disappointed in Jaedong. 12 hatch ZvZ vs a clearly inferior player? Not drone scouting vs fantasy, who is Boxer's student already bunker rushed you once the day before? When you're the best, you have to play safer than that, because people aren't going to want to go head-to-head with you in a standard game.

good job fantasy and skt1 and also hyuk

Hahahahaha are you blind or what? Just scan the last 20 pages or so and you'll see how many times people called out cheese.

Oh come on it didnt deprive you of anything. It was a clever strat and a smart way to play. Is it a shame it wasnt an epic game? Sure. I was rooting for Oz. But please guys stop trying to take things away from SKT1. What they did was smart and grats to them!

This wasn't just a canned build that rolls the dice and hopes your opponent plays greedy, it was a superb deception that was obviously prepared specifically for this match, most likely by Boxer himself.
For all intents and purposes, Fantasy faked a fast expo with a wall off perfectly, and Jaedong fell right into his trap. The marines from the hidden rax took Jaedong by complete surprise. I thought this was a good post
People are talking like Fantasy just used some standard bunker rush or something

Jaedong learnt something today.

Guys I think KESPA should implement a NR20 rule because obviously any other game isn't worth watching.

"With tears in his eyes, the mighty Lee Jae Dong swallowed, choking up at the inspiring display from his friends. His eyes narrowed as he spotted his next opponent, the mighty Fantasy.
He wouldn't lose this time."

I just hope that Jaedong doesnt suffer too much of a shock that he ended up slumping. This match hurt Jaedong so much.

was an annoyingly clever cheese though!
Actually, the final was an epic game in itself. Look at the speed of Jaedong's reactions when his overlord was sniped by marines. Look at how the lings nearly got into the base. Look at Fantasy when he pulled his SCVs to block the lings and went further to SCV bunker rush him.
Fantasy felt pretty safe pulling a bunker rush. He still had Bisu to back him up on Super Ace and what I think this match was supposed to do was mindfuck Jaedong more than win.
Fantasy pulled off this win perfectly, but the intention was not to win. It was to weaken Jaedong mentality against Bisu. Had Fantasy lost this match, he would have been recorded as the key weapon in defeating Jaedong, by weakening Jaedong so badly Bisu made mincemeat out of him.
Instead, Fantasy won this.
Don't judge Fantasy as relying on the cheese to win. SKT's grand plan always has contingencies and the plan went: "Fantasy will bunker rush Jaedong. He will 1) win or 2) lose but weaken Jaedong enough to let Bisu win".

However, I'm absolutely ecstatic to see Oz coach's one-dimensional strategy fail. What else can you do as Oz's coach though? I mean he literally has no other options with how his team is. There's no way that he or anyone in his position would risk sending out someone like Hiya or Backho with the shape they are in to win a finals ace match, when you have someone playing so much above them like Jaedong on your team. Coach Cho's folly isn't that he relies on Jaedong. His folly is that he doesn't play anyone but Jaedong, Backho, Lomo, and HiyA. That's the true problem. It's unlike CJ who plays literally anyone and that's why you having rising stars like Skyhigh, Effort, and Movie (lol, not movie nvm) compared to absolute nobodies like... well, I can't even remember thier names. Except Perfectman. A lot of people here were pretty lax about Perfectman losing to Bisu cheese but if he had played more during PL maybe he would've won the game. If Oz had one more win today and not have required Ace match for set 2, they would've gotten a different map, fantasy might not have been played, and Jaedong could've won it against Bisu. But instead, Perfectman couldn't detect the cheese nor the DT follow-up due to inexperience and it could have cost Oz the gold.
