You're a pathetic excuse for a JD fan, sorry.

Jaedong went 9 pool speed which is not really clever given that you call wall off lingtight on medusa but what really costs him the game was losing the overlord and that fantasy didnt show his marines he made from the 8 rax.
Had he shown the Marines from the first barracks Jaedong would have known there are 2 rax and he could have reduced the marine count but when he knew it, he already lost an overlord and it was too late. So please dont say it was a simple cheese, because it was not. Indeed!!
Jaedong was also setting himself up to effectively "cheese" fantasy with his super fast mutas but hey, he got counter cheesed

Is it so obvious yes? Because it seems like people are not getting it. 9 pool speed was the exact counter and he lost, and everyone cries "cheese, cheese"! So if this game and the reason he lost was obvious to you, you are at least C rank on iccup :[!

is there any evidence that oz coach had a "one-dimensional strategy" lol especially after these playoffs
on the contrary i think oz tends to retain too much faith in players as they go downhill.

plexa was right though, it was something like 9pool lair. If he'd had speed first it would have been much closer.

Ye, my bad.

Fantasy's play was heavily strategic, and far from cheesy.
This wasn't just a canned build that rolls the dice and hopes your opponent plays greedy, it was a superb deception that was obviously prepared specifically for this match, most likely by Boxer himself.
For all intents and purposes, Fantasy faked a fast expo with a wall off perfectly, and Jaedong fell right into his trap. The marines from the hidden rax took Jaedong by complete surprise.

didnt JD go for his lair before speed?

At least the second day didn't turn out to be as much of a rape as the first day was. We actually got to see a decent final day with some excitement.
Thanks to everyone who streamed and translated! I'm out
