first, he opened pool first, so his econ was alread not suited against an econ heavy terran then, he didn't scout early enough, so he couldn't see the fast CC and thought fast vulture, which caused him to add a sunk before there were 2 marines -- a total waste of money, putting him even more behind economically then, terran macro started kicking in and mass marine+med forced more and more sunks and by the time mutas were out hyvaa didn't have enough drones or money I think it's not a stretch to say that early drone scouting might have changed the course of the game entirely. If the drone were to at least see how late the barracks was, he wouldn't have made the sunk. I also wonder why hyvaa chose to pool first -- he scouted no one at 7 so maybe he thought there was a cheese possibility. Unlucky for hyvaa in many ways. He played admirably afterwards, but at that point he needed savior 2006's game sense + jaedong's micro + july's aggressiveness + ggplay's lategame to win. | ||
