I think they'll probably send Horang2 or type-b over Leta on Tau Cross if it's vs Free because P has a pretty decent advantage over T while Z > P slightly and PvP is whatever .
This kind of format will really see if Leta can go toe-to-toe with the big boys, though not in this match, Stars don't have any S-class players, though Free is borderline.
I have to say, the Stars are probably the most unpredictable team in this format. Free, GGPlay, and ZerO can all go off on a tear, or they can all lose miserably! Should be fun.

Free is most definitely S-Class he is one of the dragons and is a very strong player. His control is borderline auto-jizz.
I dont even think yarnc will beat guemchi with his weird overagressive unit spam style ZvP, its like julyish without the thinking. I think woonjin takes this. The deciding factor, I belive will be how many can Leta take out, before losing or getting cheezed. As soon as Leta is done ogn is done. GGPLAY, Zero and free are heads and shoulders above the rest of OGN. I suppose I shouldnt discount horang2 so easily, though.

I made the banner lol, it's even on the same link I hosted it on. Got the psd files and irc chatlog to prove it for what its worth, even though it's merely a modification of the proleague banner layout which pachi (if I remember correctly) originally created.
Leta's most likely gonna be used solely as a Terran sniper or last resort in this round; I honestly don't believe he will perform nearly as well as he did last round with the dearth of non-terran players wanting his head, which is why I left him off my Fantasy team.

These zergs gotta stop playing protoss at even/defecit bases. Dealing with the late game protoss ball is impossible enough. (Especially when they tech switch to sairs/DTs late game)

Um..do you really think that was Yarnc's plan? lol. Did you notice how P denied yellow the bottom side of the map fairly easily. Yarnc couldnt take more bases because P had map control. His only hope was guerilla tactics which he executed very well despite Guemchi preparing for them and playing extremely well himself.
I'm pretty sure yarnc knows that being even bases with p is bad;)

ok... so maybe slumping is misused here, but as you said, Yarnc had horrible earlygame play. He failed to deny Guemchi's 4th and couldn't get his 5th online. He ended up even in bases with Guemchi and fought a losing battle the rest of the way.

Pretty much Guemchi could have done more or less anything other than what he actually did and won.

GGplay didn't play well IMO. He could have nydused his 5o clock and he should have stopped suiciding so many lings. His plagues were also useless as there were no units to kill the plagued units.
I think GGplay's defense was a bit flawed... One sunken outranging the bunker right as the creep came out could have made it a lot better for him in my opinion.

I thought Leta was a bit ahead. GGPlay lost all but 2 drones while Leta saved quite a few scvs. Leta had to invest in some defence though because of the possible lings counter. But I am not specialist in TvZ so I might get it all wrong.

No GGPlay had 4 drones, but also both hatches so he can rebuild them quickly. Leta had 4-5 mining scvs plus the 5 he had at his bunker that had to run all the way back, but he had to pull 3 of them to block the lings, 1 died, and he had to leave 2 more pulled. Meanwhile GGplay was growing his drone count very quickly. You know it came out even early game because after GGPlay held his third he was AHEAD, but not by very much at all. Specially when he got his defs out and pushed letas first push back. At that point it was basically a standard TvZ. Thats how its supposed to go as zerg.
Leta simply outplayed him from then on dispite very nice defiler use. GGplays multitask was simply not up to par as he was unable to expand safely.

alright, spire is going up, hydra den is down, and leta is going to hold with a lifted rax. any guess as to how many drones he got (i think that it was like 8, and an ovie to boot)

1. Position SCV on ramp so that it blocks the entire thing for zerglings. 2. Put marines behind SCV/SCVs 3. Float Barracks over SCV so that the zerglings can't manual target it and thus are unable to advance up the ramp due to attack move targeting the marines behind the scv.

I <3 this match format. We get to see the good players play more, and we get to see some of the lesser players have a shot to rise up and take out a great.
man, that's amazing. Free is going to try to cheese leta. Leta isn't having any of that, both players scout center and cross positions first.
leta is buildling marines, and he went a standard build. leta's going to scout correctly on the second try, free takes the longest possible scouting route for what he picked.

Yeah, all-kill format is amazingly intense. I'm still hyped and will be again tomorrow!
fd for leta, so he's not even all in. 4 goons for free, 2 scv's and 6 marines, and a vult for leta, and he's planting spider mines and content to try to contain free.
leta decides to push in, and free has great goon micro as always, and snipes the tank, the first vult, all of the spider mines (do his goons never miss)?
the vult might have gotten 2 probes, but free keeps his 14 nex. He's contained by spider mines though, and he's choosing not to try to move out with his goon step micro.
ebay is now up, obs is out, so now free can try to clear up the mines.
1 vult sneaks into free's nat to try to do some harass, but is not successful.
free loads up 4 zeals into the shuttle, it looks like he's just planning on stopping any push attempt, and not doing an harass now that he finished the 14 nex.
leta builds another cc with the intent to float, free loses an obs for basically nothing. Leta is now contained, it's gonna be pretty tough for him to break out easily.

Please Avid you talk out of your ass so much >_< 60%+ of pro PvTs that go past mid-mid-game have storms. Watch nearly any of Jangbi's PvTs he LOVES his storms and he is revered as one of the best stormers.
Okay...though in many of the PvTs they never transition to templars after staying on arbiters for so long even when a few storms would have made all the difference. Perhaps my question was badly worded =/ I guess why arbs/reaver are more popular. Especially arbs, reavers I get. That's not very nice, I mean I could quote Best, who barely uses Templar. And Jangbi hasn't played PvT for a month except against Really, but he opted for *gasp* not templars. Don't be so hostile.

1. Position SCV on ramp so that it blocks the entire thing for zerglings. 2. Put marines behind SCV/SCVs 3. Float Barracks over SCV so that the zerglings can't manual target it and thus are unable to advance up the ramp due to attack move targeting the marines behind the scv.
edit: and spam stop on scv so that it doesn't follow zerglings out and let them in.
Hold position with marines + scvs selected
Than the scv won't ever attack with stop spam he attacks if they are directly next to him for like 1/10.
LMAO The scv wont attack!? OH NO!
So youd rather spam stop to maybe do 5 more damage every 10th of the time agianst lings that will immediately turn around anyways?
Props to Leta, he played this in a very original style (snipiing like 10 probes on the field while they were trying to exp) but Free's macro and multitask could keep up with it, so GG
even though i love woongjin stars, i've doubted that free was a dragon. that he was sufficiently skilled to be included in the exclusive "6 Dragons" club. i believed that he was perhaps a++ class, but not the s-class player that is required for admission.

100% agreed. Everything gets so much more exciting and epic with this format. We're almost garanteed to see the best players play too, since teams will always have to do a last resort to try and win by sending out their best.

eh, I mean everyone says this...but they do practice like 12hrs a day..so I mean thats not much of an excuse as everyone is under the same condition. However, if you are just saying he should be tired after these tough, long, and hardfought games as general statement then I guess my comment doesnt apply to you.
But yea one does get tired of hearing how they overwork flash, jaedong and bisu and thats supposed to be why they lose.
epic epic game. Free showed that he had goon micro still, and fended off the 14 nex. Leta came back really really well, and managed to push it ainto an even lategame, especailly by delaying the fourth and fifth expansions by a ton.
Leta needed to expand when he had the opportunity to. Free almost would have been better going with scouts (more ground damage ><; Epic game from both sides, and a hard fought win for free. watching the rep is amazing, and shows lots of things the obs missed when the game was happening

This paticular format seems kind of long for the timeslot however, so it's possible they might choose to scale it down to 3 wins, instead of 4.

It's not so much that they overwork players, it's more that they Stagnate and as a result get countered easily.
Free is probably the hottest dragon at the moment along with Jangbi, I guess but I havent heard much from him until yesterday where he did pretty well, but other than that he hasnt seem to have been making waves lately. (Backho falling down steps probably doesnt help this.)

yeah but on tv and playing for your team would add so much more stress.

he probably didn't feel like he needed to, and I'm thinking that he was thinking that it would be too hard to defend later in the game.
and he probably didnt suspect an army of arbiters with massive stasis
the stasis did work at first but without sufficient armies free wasn't able to defend his line. Should have expand or at least attack 1'oclock which is much more easier!

I fucking LOVE this format, SOOO INTENSE!
I'm now a BELIEVER of Leta!
In an hour and 30min, we'll see SkyHigH vs Bisu!!
1 hour!! Time slot got shifted forward 30 mins, don't miss it!

backho isnt a dragon.
I never said he was lol, I was saying jangbi hasnt been playing much and the fact that his match against backho was canceled due to backhos injury doesn't help his somewhat conspicuous absence on the scene.
Well I wish Leta could have won that last game but I can't say I am disappointed with his play. I think Flash is the only terran right now who could have won that game and Leta is the only one who could have come that close to winning.

Guemchi then leta.. the free beasting out. Almost makes me want to watch it again
THIS MAN SPEAKS THE TRUTH. this was so fucking good, my god guemchi some how winning, then fucking leta just going, no. fuck you. then free going, shit woonjin payed me to win, i better win and then leta was like fuck your probes, and then free was like fuck you i got arbs i kill ur scv, and leta was like wtf hacks, and free was like fuck yeah im awesome
Got both Leta and Free enlisted in my Fantasy League team, and they top it off with a match like that! ^^ First the series with Luxury, now Leta, this all-kill is working out much better than I had expected. And the F-league is adding to it still, I say GG
Wow I just watched the vods, this has to be one of the best proleague series I've seen. Insaaaane play against guemchi and a sick comeback, almost every game was totally awesome.
Leta you're the fucking man, sucks that he only got used as last resort, all that work and then losing the last game ... ouch.
Epic, epic, EPIC series. Leta's come back vs Guemchi was wtf good, infact Leta was just overall jesus christ sick.
The way Leta kept killing Free's probe that tried to expo was fucking hilarious - I think he managed to kill like 6 of them (despite Free having like 12 goons guarding them lmao)?
