This is probably the absolute worst scenario (Once again) for KTF.
This lineup is probably alot worse than SKT vs KTF, where SKT did have the perfect lineup yet fucked up (all except Bisu)
July vs Tempest. IMO this can go both ways but Tempest has a tendency of fucking up when things are going his way
Kal vs Luxury. Kal, unarguably the 2nd Best PvZ'r on earth vs Luxury, a player born and raised from KOR/OGN Sparkys, who are infamous for being total shit players vP MU. Now, if Luxury wasn't slumping this would go both ways but he is.
Hwasin vs Firefist. Hwasin is slumping but Firefist is not some S class player. The map goes both ways... Honestly I wish Mr. Pretty Lips comes back.

Seriously, how as a zerg player can you counter Kal's PvZ short of having the control of Jaedong? Luxury played pretty damn well. Took out that first corsair. Expanded like mad and prevented harassment.
And then just got rolled...

I think KTF were a bit unlucky in the line up. They managed to feed STX top players their best Match Ups. Not to mention FireFist and Tempest are not on the level of Hwasin (even when slumping apparently) or July.

I totally agree with you. His harassment was terrible. He insisted on flying over barracks without checking the mineral line till the very end. And most of the time there was just one turret. In the meantime he was losing mutas left and right picking off minimla number of marines and not even one medic? It was just painful to watch.

As has been said, KTF got really unlucky with the matchups. If for example, Tempest and Luxury switched places, this could easily have swayed things in KTF's favor.

And I think 3-1 is better than 3-0 in the case of a tiebreaker anyway. To me it seems like an unnecessary risk to play Flash on the 4th set, especially against strong teams. But I think they got 3-0'd by a relatively weak team a while ago when they did the same thing, can't remember which...

It probably has to do with the fact that Flash is going through the same thing that Nada was a couple years ago (when Pantech had a top shape Nada with no one else, it was basically Nada wins 1 game, someone else tries to win 1 more, Nada wins ace match).

Honestly, seeing Flash in the 4set, who DIDN'T see this coming. Lux drew a ZvP (versus Kal, no less), July did too, and Hwasin got TvZ versus an average Zerg. It would've taken some kind of miracle to get the game to Flash.

Yep man, i dont understand why KTF coach dont send Lux vs a zerg while he have 2nd best ZvZ right now and not sending Tempest vs Kal while it is known vs P Kal has some timing troubles.
I miss the old KTF with Nada, Reach, Garimto, Nal_ra, Choja, Yellow, Goodfriend....

u cant c wht the other team is sending out and in which map until a few days b4 the match... in which case the decision is alrdy made. chupeong ryung was the best choice imo for lux, it was just unlucky for him that stx sent kal on that map as well

A) Both came out to the scene as 'child prodigy's'
B) Top terran player as of now (with deep understanding of TvP)
C) One Man Show
D) The only way the team could win is if Flash/Nada takes 2 wins in a day.

It sounds like Flash basically diss SKT1 terran. 18% is SKT1 terran win percentage. The terrans that you listed for SKT1 aren't really that good. Boxer and Oov are out of their prime while Fantasy isn't very good. This proleague, Fantasy is 3 wins above breaking even
Flash is hands down the #1 Terran right now.

actually the number of set-wins counts too, when the teams are on equal win/loss ratio the individual ranks counts. So if X team is 6-4 with 22-18 isn't as good as a 6-4 with 26-12...
And mindgames... Poor firefist isnt a bad player, but he had to face Hwasin +extra pressure from the fact that if he loses the team lost too.

yep, in the beggining of the PL SKT was worse than estro, now KTF is no big deal too. Its good though the ranks are very close, from MBC back there even estro has chances to make it to the playoffs
