looks like we are not going to be able to see any of the other round 1 games, sorry guys. If you look here, it's clear that the next Starcraft match is at 9:30 PM EST, and that is the quarterfinals. So no Idra/Yellow for us.

Hmm, what's this report about Starcraft 2's campaign being a trilogy of 3 discrete products? It'll start with Terran campaign, and each campaign will have 26-30 missions (that's about as much as Starcraft had in total over the 3 races). Because all the campaigns are separate releases, they'll all come with tons of pre-rendered cutscenes.
The other campaigns are expansion packs. That would be an interesting way to do it. I might prefer that to the old way, which was having 8-10 missions for each race in Starcraft, then doing another ~8 missions per race in Broodwar.

Yeah, only one can win. So when there's a battle, one of them should have run and not fought in the first place. That's why the loser loses. Issue is figuring out if it's you or hin.
So really in a perfectly played WC3 match you never get to see a battle. That's why town portal is so bad.

The starcraft stream wont be on for another like 30 minutes. No games but Nada vs Jangbi were broadcast so no one saw Idra vs Yellow. Currently the RTS stream just shows the same repeating cinematics for WoW, SC2, and Diablo 3.

Savior looked quite crisp against Jangbi, nice delusion tactics, runthrough at the right time, and timely tech switches. But Jangbi, on the other hand, is not exactly known for his PvZ.

I don't know about that. He looked a little anxious and it almost looked like his nerves would get to him when he rushed Jangbi's nat to no avail and didn't even fake drop.
He wasn't paying attention to his mini-map at all as well. Lots of idle units (scourge/drone).
If you ask me he is still a long way from being back.
I'm really shocked he managed to beat ForGG. I would love to know what happened in those games because I cannot put my finger on it.

Well the 3v3 arena format requires lots of skill.
It's the arena in game that's bollocks. You need to play SO much to get good enough gear to compete, then you need to find 2 friends who are like-minded who also have literally MONTHS of time to waste. You also need to make sure your friends play exact classes that happen to compliment yours (bear in mind any patch could fuck this up and you have to reroll!). Then you need to play really lame and wait for times when weaker teams play, wait if you find a team that has better gear than you etc...
If there was a WoW arena game where you could just play any class and choose from a pool of equal gear it would be very cool.
Edit: I just remember one of the teams at Blizzon is called "selective queuers" haha.

I remember an MMORPG called "Dofus", where all of the battle was turn based and tactical. There was pvp, but it was totally who had the higher level/gear.
They made "Dofus-arena", totally pvp. Its like WoW arena, only turn based, all you control all of the characters.

Expos depend on the matchup again as well. Humans and NE also have fast expo builds that are viable.
Complaining about not knowing what the buildings are is kind of silly... If you don't play SC you wouldn't know what those buildings are either.

i played him ya back when i was active and pretty good too. he was known for long time as one of the two best spanish guys, other one torren if name says something to you. but recently he got to the very top ones in europe, which he proved today as we saw. but he aint that long in scene, i think last time i played him nationwars and got beaten badly but i allready stopped playing then. back to sc.

Can someone explain to me why I couldn't watch Savior VS. Nada on the RTS stream? (Savior really destroyed everyone)
I had to watch it on the WoW stream instead (luckily they were showing it instead of trailers).
Whenever I go to this page http://www.blizzard.com/blizzcon/video/stream-rts.xml , it's just some frozen SC2 screenshot. But when I use the WoW stream, it works normally.
Anyone else have this problem? I really need to fix it so I can watch the SC2 community match.

And protoss seems to be able to toy them with any unit they have in mind (stalkers so good against zerglings you know, against banelings too, because of their armor, against hydralisks of course, i mean those are antiair, yeah stalkers are great against ultras, because of their armor....)

I agree, watching that game I am still disappointed with the way it looks.
In SC:BW you could tell exactly when a unit was doing damage, because the animations were SO clear. Now it's like you can't even see where the zerglings are, let alone when they do damage.
Being able to put collosus in a phase prism is pretty stupid and they look really dumb also; I hope they can be microed to actually hit stuff on release.

I didn't like the movements of units either, they are very artificial, not natural like SC. In all the attacks, I really didn't get well what was going on. And in the unit vs unit you could see how they attacked on their own. I'm very sorry to say this but, more things I know about SC2 the less I like the game. It's the opposite of why I love SC, and all this SC2 stuff makes me very sad....

I don't think that you would be able to watch the games in lower resolution and still make it work out. For example, you can watch sc games easily on youtube, in a tiny 2" window. You wouldn't be able to do the same for sc2. More importantly, this lack of unit/building differentiation makes playing at/near 400 apm almost impossible.

my problem is... well whenever sc2 comes out and a pro gaming scene develops if you doesnt have a HQ streaming to watch the games like you should, you wont get anything from whats going on. Watching the games in internet wont be a option, it gonna sucks big time. The blizzcon stream was ass kicking, much better than daum and gom and I still couldnt tell the difference mostly between the zerg units, they should make either the creep or all the units much brighter so we get enough contrast between the models, now its all... purple and brown

This - and even if someone argues that SC is quite clean and the battles readable in low-res VODs - with VODs being the same resolution, the ratio is completely different (SC 640*480->320*240 [4:1], SC2 1280*1024->320*240 eeh like [17:1]). If they develop the ability to broadcast games over battlenet I think it would be huge, because this is really a game you need to watch at high def. For example you would be able to create a 'channel' that observers can join, where you can get an audio stream and follow the game directly (with a time delay of course). They should also have the option of following the observer camera, or handling it yourself.
But of course this is probably just me dreaming. Maybe if someone mentions to blizzard they could charge money to allow people to create channels they would do it.

Replays for events like these are alwas delayed a few weeks in my experience. Don't expect anything right away. I'm really trusting Blizzard to deliver, though, this is one of the few chances I have to watch Korean progamers in action - I don't really watch many VOD and don't feel they provide the same insight as replays do.
