Bisu has always been 60% vs Hero last year and this year. It just doesn't manifest in a Bo3. And probably in a tournament setting where Zerg tend to have the upper hand against Protoss with their early shenanigans. Like we saw in the last game it was one misclick or something that let the zerglings slip in that totally changed the fate of the game.

Mind that Bisu is not exactly the opposite. He's been always like 50 +/- 5% against everyone (maybe except for the top 3) which means he's always at the top level, just not dominating or being dominated by anyone. Barracks has come a long way. Last year he was regularly getting steamrolled 0-9 by Snow but the last 2 months he's been 50/50 vs the best PvT player.

I dont see him winning a series against Rush, can't wait to see his 2 other potential opponents. agree... don't forget speed ..

He's one of the streamers I watch the most, and he's been doing really well over the past few months. I honestly think this is his season to shine. He’s had a few hiccups, but overall, he’s been consistent and solid. I'm rooting for him. He’s one of the few at that level who consistently puts in the work. My two dark horses for this season are him and Stork. I think both have been doing amazing recently, but unfortunately, they don’t get the credit they deserve for whatever reason.

Both of them for some reason can't seem to achieve the same kind of success offline that they do online. I was actually similar back when I was active. I was tearing sh*t up online and as soon as I went to the WCG qualifications I totally blew it because of the pressure lol. Playing offline is a real thing. The pressure is different.

Would you say the same thing about a Bisu in his prime? Some personal thoughts: I think SKT broke Bisu's killer mindset that he had at MBCGame. His abilities in individual tournaments got torched when he joined that team. I think he'd be the closest to bonjwa status as Protoss if he never switched teams.

Would you say the same thing about a Bisu in his prime? Some personal thoughts: I think SKT broke Bisu's killer mindset that he had at MBCGame. I dont agree with SKT being the issue.More like he won 3 MSL and his individual hunger was already filled. Bisu was paid a really high salary thanks to team performance and he was doing really well there. Post Kespa career Bisu Won THE SSL vs hero and made it to the final one more time losing it to hero and then loss a final to Effort. I think his desire to win another tournament was also filled. But he understand his fans want to see him competing in ASL so he continues doing so. And im pretty sure his biggest motivation to do well right now is in the daily proleagues where the earnings are insane compared to the ASL. That said this season Bisu was in a really good shape. He even beat Soulkey offline. It is a shame he didnt advance from this group :/ Im not sure Prime Bisu would be dominating terrans in this era (Specially cuz of modern maps that just allow terrans for safe 4 bases setup and easy wall mechanics.) but his pvp for sure could benefit a lot and his pvz will still be incredible as it is right now lets be honest. I also think back then Bisu was playing so much offline. MSL OSL Proleague etc. Almost every week Bisu was playing offline so it was for him being in comfort zone all the time. Now he just plays offline from time to time.

I'm pretty sure Hero was using the crowd to suss out Bisu's build order. They need to do something to the way the booths are set up to prevent that in the future.

What a bad idea was it to place two legends in the same group so early just for the sake of placing them and having them wiped out, even if Bisu ''was not supposed'' to loose to Barracks of all people. In the RO16 placement - Barracks picked JyJ for group B. JyJ picked Bisu Then Soulkey used his champions privilege to move Jaedong out of his group, and let Sea decide who. Sea swapped Jaedong with JyJ - that's how Jaedong and Bisu were both placed into Group B Bisu and Jaedong are well past their prime. I think it's perfectly reasonable to have them both in the same group. If they were so good, then at least one of them would have made it out, but they did not. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance. The "good" players are the ones who are seeded from last year's top 4, and they are guaranteed to be in different groups.

Yes, he messed up later on but he was also so far behind for long stretches of the game and I also think the map looks pretty hard for P in PvZ beyond 2 bases.

I would not say they are past their prime. Bisu still does well in online competition where 99.5% of competition happens. Jaedong his style is just weaker compared to the rest because he isnt as much of a mindgamer as the others. He relies heavily on rather straight forward play where his mechanics and understanding do all the lifting. He rarely tries misdirectional play and his set-ups leading into situations are not as intricate, whereas soulkey will have all his units in perfect locations and have all the mindgames going on all at once. That playstyle is where others grew more and jaedong grew less.
