Light and jaedong, I guess? But Light could play as bad as last seasons and then it's all open.

- Light -- he made the qualifier finals look easy. I remember I was underwhelmed by his games in ASL ever since he won it. - Shine -- probably all-ins at least one game, while the other one is a ZvZ guessing game. He's not looking as deadly as 10 years ago. - Jd -- not sure how he plays nowadays but hasn't looked deadly either in like 5+ years? But as experience goes he has the mental strength to get out

Shine appearing confident in interview. Shows no emotion. Light looks bored. YSC showing some nerves but also confident in expression. JD missing that death stare of old.

Early zealot pressure from a forward gateway, but then an additional proxy gateway building on the middle of the map Edit: Light misses the spot twice. And now a robo is building there too

But in general I agree with Tmnt, I always get annoyed by watching Ysc play in Kcm/asl etc. because his errors and bad decision making.

5 minutes later: Protoss has less than 4 probes. That's 9 hatch attack vs. a 12 nexus.

Anyway, 3 cannons close to the forge-line and no cannons in depth -- protoss loses to the first wave of hydras. The group is playing out as it is supposed to, no upsets or surprises in the results. This is why I don't like "normal" groups and wouldn't like Bo3 matches in Ro24. It's not entertaining, it's long, and boring to have every group play out with the least amount of standard deviation

It's for a good reason: to get JD the best chance to advance. Almost every season he was paired with the weakest non-Terran tier 2 player (mostly Shine and Shuttle). There are 5 Zergs in Ro24 and 6 groups. But they have to put two Zergs in one group. That tells you everything.

I think Shine got a bit nervous and made those spores, it sets him back if both decides to play defensively until they have massive amount of mutas, in which JD would be ahead. Shine had a slight advantage at the beginning going 12 hatch vs JD 11 hatch, and blocked JD's ling attacks but was unable to find the overlords with his early mutas to keep the advantage. Was a great ZvZ nevertheless. Shine would’ve won if he moved into JD’s main when JD’s mutas were at his third. Just didn’t commit. Easy to say though when you can see the whole map I guess.

If a race has 5 or 6 slots, that's pretty equal representation. Zerg is underrepresented (3), Terran is overrepresented (7-9 depending on Group F), and Protoss is ambiguous with 4-6 depending on Group F.

What is even more sad, that both of these epic Protoss fails came from Mind's suggestions (which just confirms that he is the ''brain Terran'' and a genius), and the Protoss did not bring their own ideas!
