Round of 16 ist best of three, four pairs are scheduled for today. Only the first game of the best of three is today. The first games of the other four pairs are in two days. The second games will be played on the two play days next week (with the third games right after the individual second games if they are needed).
Oversky loses to TT - due to basic training, I don't think Oversky has gotten to practice much. But who knows? I think he's a better player overall. 60-40 in TT favor.
FBH goes down to the Gorilla. Gorilla doesn't seem to like Python very much though, and FBH is doing quite well. 65-35 oov favor.
Hwasin eats Sheis. They're practice partners, so I suppose they're nearly 50/50 average. But recently, Hwasin has been doing VERY WELL. 70-30 Hwasin favor.
Light beats Bisu. 2gas main favors Terran over Protoss, somewhat? Not too sure on that. But it seems like a Terran map, and Light's TvP 70%+ is much more fearsome than Bisu's PvT. 70-30 Light favor
Everybody was kung-fu fighting.. HOOA!! Those cats were fast as lightning.. HAH!! In fact it was a little bit frightning.. HOOA! For they fought with expert timing.. HAH!!
Oversky: Now that I have this chance, I'll go for it with all I have vs TT: There should be someone worse than me.. no? [wow his pronounciation is the worst ever, so may be wrong on this]
Firebathero: ...Terran? You should be looking forward to this. vs iloveoov: I treat every game like a sort of "mission" for me so...
Hwasin: A teammember... I won't go easy on him because of that though. vs Sheis: It surely is a burden (fighting a teammate)...it would be nice if I could advance as 2nd place [not 100%sure]
Light: I will cause a big upset! (something unexpected will happen..) vs Bisu: I'll defeat all Terrans and advance to the finals.
Archives building now and Drones drill at the Zealot blocked ramp. TT bringing probes to help keep lings out of his base, but Oversky pushes through the ramp.

mm, ya. If it's just one guy way ahead actually live reporting (like Tuna ) then it's fine, but if it's just random commenting, it's preferable that such spoilers (even if it's like 3 minutes) not be posted.

And 1 gate tech is still viable build.. more viable than 10/12 gates ofc. If you scout well u'll see speedlings coming and put a forge and start a cannon. With help of probes it's ok.

So true, guys who aren't saying a single word during a game and having their stream ahead and just saying "GG" when everybody's reporting are so annoying.

?? Oov with depot directly under the cc... does that push the new scv two macrives over to the right or something?
oov with rax below ramp... fbh with rax in a really odd position, like 1 screen away from his ramp, over to the left. I guess it's for some float time reduction
Damn haji, you're a whole minute ahead of me, maybe two. I'll let you handle it. Especially since you seem to be not tired at all from sleeping far too much last night.
oov sent the 2 rines to fbh's nat, repelled by fbh's 2 rines and 1 vult though. Both rines die, and fbh moves forward with the surviving vult, sees the nat cc going up, then vult dies to one of oov's.
oov sends 2 vults to fbh's nat, fbh actually pulled the cc building scv off to the side to prevent it from dying, then blocks the ramp with 4 scvs -- 2 scvs die, and tank pops out to chase away the vults.
oov pulls mass scvs, but most of fbh's tanks are unsieged.
oov with no fighting units, his new tanks just died, fbh moving into oov's nat, more scvs being pulled into tanks by oov, oov with 1 tank at his ramp, make that 3.
scvs kill 2 tanks, and now oov moves down his ramp with units, even more scvs pulled to fight off the tanks
Firebathero's build was a realy awesome counter to oovs vults. Fbh was more effcient and just massed tanks, using nice control to negate any benefit from oovs vults.
oov now with about 10 tanks himself, standoff in the middle of the map, fbh with slightly fewer tanks, but a group of vults accompany fbh's tanks, while oov's are bare.
fbh is maynarding scvs to the two bases at 7 now, oov has secured the expo at 10, fbh drops mass units into the island at 1 to kill off the remnants of oov's drop there.
oov goes to 7 main with 3 dropships, drops 5 tanks and 2 goliaths, scvs run, cc lifts.
those units now go to the 7 nat.
fbh with a massive 5 dropship drop in oov's main, firing at factories and depots, fbh lays some mines near facts as well.
OOv counterdrops on top of the drop with his own ships, the drop dies though, BUT OOV WITH 10 TNAKS BELOW HIS CLIFF, FBH LOSES HIS TANKS, ONLY GOLIS LEFT IN THE ATTACK
Really Bluz??=/ Its not that close or anything..Oov has never been in the game. The level of play is really really awesome, but as far as the game goes, its not that close or exciting FBH is playing like a champ.
oov has the 8 main, but fbh has dropped 4 tanks there, oov immediatley pulls 8 scvs, and is fighting it off, 1 tank dies, and now oov comes with his shipts to clear it.
fbh moving up the righ tside of the middle with a pretty big army, but now oov drops a big load of units in fbh's 7 main, oov stalls for time against fbh's army progress with half a dozen sieged tanks
Haha awesome FBH! he sieges one tank and moves the other 3 over to lure scvs..then targets the scvs perfectly killing them all with minimal tank damage! Pimp
oov moving his dropped units to fbh's 5 expo, sieges up at the wide ramp as fbh engages, fbh tanks out oovs units but loses all hist gols, 6 tanks left.

when oov shut down the bases at 7 and prevented fbh from regaining them, while not losing a single base himself, the macro difference REALLY started to show.

he was too passive early on with his tanks, he could have won there... he made oov lose a lot of scvs, but oov had already had his 3rd base for quite a while, so it didn't matter quite as much oov looked in trouble at the first "doom drop", but other than that fbh certainly wasn't ahead much at any point in the game
Omg seriously oov <3 <3 <3 When FBH started to push i was like oooohhhhh fuuuck...and step by step oov pushed himself off the wall. Then i saw FBHs dropships and i was like ooohh again.

Nope. FBH was on the edge of action, but oov was more solid in his resource management. The expo at 1 FBH noticed too late is, in my opinion, what won him the game.
Still it's fucking ridiculous how he defended. SCV powah!
Clearly a magnificient TvT, if all those were like this one.
oov basically took out 7 twice that game, first time allowed him to almost catch up to fbh (at this time, ccs lifted and they lived), but he was still a bit behind I think (but in 10x better position than he was before), getting really heavy pressure at all his expos. It's really what changed the game I think. Second time, when both ccs actually got destroyed, that gave oov the macro lead for good.

imo oov was more behind in the beginning than firebathero was when he tapped out..

Hm, not really, i mean, he did have one more base than FBH. When FBH tapped out, he had less army and less economy than oov =P

I have no clue how he defended that, it looked impossible. Wasn't it like 10 tanks against 4? How the hell do you stop that? Plus the drop...
Oh shit, hwasing making 2 sneaky raxes on 6. They will get scouted though, sheis is making a rax literally right next to them, on the opposite platform.
Hwasin just got scouted. Hwasing attacking sheis barracks, and marine almost dead. Sheis starts bunker at his ramp, fac started. Pulls out scv's to defend.

sure it's not as boring as it used to be but it's still tiresome to watch 50% TvT every gameday
because non-mirror matchups are generally more exciting/interesting and with more terrans than anything else you just get to see too many tvts (speaking in sheer numbers)

im still willing to bet that TvT turns out to produce the longest games on average, even on pro level. add to that that the fights are much more static than in other mus. so u got the longest mu with the least action-packed fights (static and less micro-based than in other mus). thats why many people (including me) still like tvt the least.
They've been pretty action packed recently Bisu going gate gas core as expected. Light building in his man. Gets a second depot before his factory. Range started for bisu.
4 rines force the goon back as light starts his CC. A second goon joins the first and lights rax is floating toward bisu as his robo finishes and he starts an obsevatory.
4 rines and a tank engage 2 goons and bisu snipes 2 marines and retreats. Starting his nexus...and he returns with 3 goons! Targetting tank ..kills it!
Bisu macroing up to 5 gates. Bisu gets 2 reavers dont but a tanks there. He focus fires and gets some scvs. Nice reations from light to follow the shuttle. Bisu gets a few more scvs.

Oh, so official map is different from the practice map, ok.
Its not rediculous..i think you mistunderstand. The version of the map he was given did not match the actual version used in the tourniment? If I understand correctly.

I disagree. I personally downloaded Desperado three weeks ago (just checked the date on my system) and it is the 1.01 version where you cannot build any turrets in the center, so I really don't see how you can put any blame on anyone but Light (or maybe his coach/someone else responsible within his team). Unfair he practiced on a map that has been outdated for 3 weeks (or maybe even more, since it may have been up there already a bit before I downloaded it)?

I can't find the 1.00 version right now, only an old 0.60 version. I just checked 0.60 and 1.01 in single player:
1.01: you can build 4 (2 times 2) turrets pretty close to the center 0.60: same as 1.01 plus you can build 4 turrets at the very border of the center (one in each direction) and 1 row of 3 between each of the mineral only expansions
meh, that doesnt really help
does anyone, who unlike me, does NOT delete his vods still have the vod of the game Light vs Midas @ Desperato (Round of 32 Group F), because that was the first game that was played on Desperado this season. Would be interesting to see the map version... I tried on youtube, but the quality is too bad to read it
Places where you can build turrets on the old version (I'm only showing the ones on the bottom half of the map, since the map is horizontally symetrical)
2 relatively close to the center
1 on each border of the center
3 between the mineral only expansions
only the ones from the first picture can also be built in the 1.01 version
Just downloaded the VOD of today and Light wasn't anywhere close to building one of the turrets form the 3-turret-row and a turret at the border wouldnt have mattered, so IMHO his complaint is not justified.

its MBCgame's problem. they should've made sure he had the right map. if they gave him 1.01 and he created the practice games on 1.00, then its Light's fault, but if he never received 1.01 then it's his coach and MBC HERO's fault.
its especially stupid because you'd expect MBCgame HERO to be the LAST team to have the wrong maps, as MBC is responsible for the MSL.
it's like the OGN team not getting the right version of the OSL maps, or savior not getting the right superfight map from CJ
watched the oov game. didn't think he was THAT behind, just was in precarious positions. he had 3 bases earlier, and the big drop in his main didn't hurt him as much as the two smaller drops did. but nevertheless great defense and come back
I was just watching FBH vs. oov and HE doesn't play with his mouth open anymore !!! T___T. Maybe tahts why he doesn't dominate as much.... haha even though he played solid against FBH.
Oov really showed that he got great defence skills and guerilla tactics, the man is a beast in TvT, the only player that really knew to kick his ass in that matchup was xellos.
FBH typed out with "wlwldy." I'm not actually 100% sure that I interpreted that correctly, but if I'm on the right track, FBH seemed pretty impressed. (And rightfully so, because oov was pretty frightening as the game went on.)

I was pretty disappointed by this set of games. The Light vs Bisu thing sucks all around (no matter who the blame is on), and the only really good match was Oov vs Firebathero. That was a pretty good game, but I'm still really perplexed how Firebathero managed to lose that one after being ahead most of it.
Oversky is one of my favorite Zergs, probably one of the best atm too. Way to kill someone who has a 8-2 PvZ record last 10.
oov wasn't that far behind as he had 3 bases and got more gas (fpview showed he had 1500 gas later on), but yeah I was always thinking FBH would destroy his left-expansions and win the game but oov just played amazing.
Hwasin shouldn't have made some cheesy stuff, he owns lately so he should just have played a regular game and won it. Teammates doing TvT wasn't anything interesting anyway.
