Bo1 in the early winner bracket, so you get kicked to loser bracket so fast with one fail game or if you die to a cheese vs a lower opponent. And then you have to play Bo3's and even Bo5's all the way up to the loser bracket final? And the finalist from winner bracket has to wait 4 hours? :O
As said, this ought to be modified for the next event

i don't know how its possible for players to play 5 bo5's in a row in top shape (assuming you start from losers all the way to finals).
Hmm... What kind of format does everyone prefer? We can definitely change this moving forward. I would love to hear all your thoughts on this! Thank you
Well, imo best of 3 all the way to the semis/final. Maybe first few rounds bo1.
Honestly from my perspective if it's double elim it should be bo1 all the way to losers final (bo3) and bo3 all the way to winners final (bo3) then 2 best of 3s for the final (aka if winners finalist wins one, it's game over, if losers finalist wins it resets the bracket).
Sayle and I were casting for just over 9 hours yesterday and bonyth had to wait about 4 hours for the grand finals.
i did wait a lot but who cares about me right
I highly doubt he was trying to single you or anyone out. Moreso the point he was trying to make. You still had games in the LB while Bonyth had to wait.
yup a zvz series then play him,i did watch a movie and walk my dog,and still need to wait for koget vs trutacz,i guess i was lucky koget trutacz did play bo3 (same case for me and trutacz)so we didnt actually play bo5 as was expected at first, thanks admins for that ah not only that,i actually need to wait for bonyth aswell cuz he was gone ^^
I wasn't trying to single you out. Didn't realise you were waiting so long (that whole evening is a blur)!
What actually happened in this event? I watched mind's fpvod of the event, catch it here if you want Finals start at 2:48
In the finals he plays some protoss who zealot rushes and looks like he's never played a ranked game in his life. Mind wins 1-0 with ease and then that's it but the finals show 3-0? How did this guy make it to the finals?? It looks like only 14 players registered and mind was the only real competition of the group, what happened?
Wtf happened there? This event could have easily gathered 500 if not more participants, and 14 ppl register. Poor zotac, someone forgot to tell people there was a tournament.
I apologize for the late update on this thread Scan; however, I'm pretty sure myself alone have been to your twitch stream at least 3-4 times asking if you would be participating in the ZOTAC CUP Korea. I've even posted in your chat, the link to sign up.
Unfortunately, the number of participants were disappointingly low. There will be a regular ZOTAC CUP Global tournament next weekend as well as the last ZOTAC CUP Masters Qualifiers for the NA region.

Thanks for playing guys!
Out of curiosity, on which Korean forums / platforms did you advertise? Teamliquid.net is basically 99% only non-koreans.

To be 100% honest, I do not know, we had our ZOTAC Korea team handle the promotion for this tournament.
