Good. Two separate threads. Let's see if this works.
Oh yeah. ESTRO FTW!!!
For a detailed explanation of my madness, check out liquibet
Let's see...
Darkelf<Cool (Darkelf is not cool enough) Iris>Upmagic (Iris TvT = Upmagic T_T) Mania/Oversky<Eliza/Bassen (It's DMZ. We can probably expect some gay rushing to occur.) Much>Tester (I like much much.) And eSTRO takes the Ace BECAUSE I VOTED FOR THEM!
Does anybody know why CJ isn't playing Savior in 1v1? I mean, not sending Savior today is consistent with using Much/Savior for Chariot of Fire, with this other team for DMZ, but uh...they're playing Much, who's in the same situation as Savior in terms of game preparation.
And they're consistently playing Darkelf. ~_~
Maybe Savior exploded after winning the OSL and no longer is spectacular?
I think that they are just trying to get more experience for the others initially in order to have a more well-rounded team. Maybe the coach sees something in Darkelf.
Hm, are they still going by that (((3v4) winner v 2) winner v 1) format for Proleague playoffs? If that's the case, I'd personally think that getting wins is of utmost importance over getting players experience. If you go up one rank because of a win or two, you could either make the playoffs or not, or have to go through an entire one less round (which you have like a 50% of losing).
Okay because LR claimed the other thread (and I respect him, even though I want to watch... ah well. I'll just watch the VODs later), I will be live reporting here. But maybe not for the first game. Homework >_<.
A bunch of teams this season are playing their rookies/ B players a lot. I would say they're trying to do what MBC did last year and get their players some exposure while giving them some stage experience. CJ keeps playing Darkelf, OGN- Luxury, Hanbit- Ganzi, the list continues. As we saw with MBC, the fruits will show in time. Hero's lineup easily has the most depth in the league, and they seem to be creating superstars left and right (not to mention 3-0ing everyone and their mother). The strategy definitely working nicely for OGN, I'll tell you that much.

then they try some aqua/hery shit and lose
LOL true. Aqua and Hery have been failing terribly. How bout that Neo Enfente, eh? Friggin kid played like a g-damn PRO against Bisu in ODT. Asshole. Forced Bisu against free. >_<!
WTF?!?!? Goes from opening and all of a sudden the stream goes straight to: TERRAN AT 3 ZERG AT 12. Terran with large mnm force, two base, zerg with 3 base + (I think) harassing with muta at terran's, nat. I don't know wtf just happened, i will try to catch up. Zerg going to Hive tech and had hydra den up, presumably teching to deflliers. Terran has just mnm for the time being. sci facility up, so likely comes orbs.
Zerg has lrkers on the ramp at his 8:00 expo, but terran scans and kills it with mnm. Looks like zerg with 4 sunkens at 12:00, throwing down a defiler mound.
zerg with cocoons, 3 of them. terran iwth 2 orbs, 5 tanks, handful of mnm. zerg lurkling contains the terran to just his nat. HAHA his guardians that were attacking the nat got irradiated.
Defiler out, along with 12+ lurkers, many mutas, many lings. I think T is dead, baked to a crisp. Well placed swarms push terran back, as zerg pops 3 guards out.
zerg takes out defensive structures and tanks at the t natural, along with a depot. VERY GOOD JOB of swarm leapfrog as he rapes all the scvs at the expo. terran will gg soon i think.
upmagic grabs a dropship, but iris scans the area and sees it. he also sees the rather weak defense at upmagic's natural. 3 ships for up. Upmagic takes 3:00. 4 dropships drop tank/gol into iris main! hero scvs take out upmagic's tanks, upmagic sets up his defense for the inevitable counter.
Iris attacks upmagic's natural, and almost manages to roll over, but each side has a couple tanks left. upmagic sieges his tanks on the ramp for that extra 30% advantage; his flying rax dies. someone seiving an expo somewhere... you're welcome funkie.
upmagic losing a lot of scvs to tank fir at both 3:00 and natural. upmagic tries to use them to fight, but the goliaths pick them off moderately easily.
Iris builds 2 cc's at 5:00. Looks like umagic took 11:00, too. YES, hE JUST DID and is maynarding, and iris is headed over with tanks in ships AND MY STREAM DIES!
Okay. this LOOKS new to me. Upmagic reclaims 11:00 and graps 10:00. Iris takes 5:00 and 4:00. Upmagic slowly pushing towards 4, and turreting in the middle.
What the hell, is it just me or did up pull a super comeback? I was watching SKT1 vs MBC but, prior to that I was watching and saw Up getting really desperate, with a lot of his expos in jeopardy, IriS with a superior ground force, etc. etc.

Oversky tapped out before his hatchery died. OGN thought it was a GG from the team and played the music, but TheMania didn't leave so they were like oh..ugh.
I'd like to see ONE expo on DMZ. How about some gm, maybe? Or maybe a tier 2 for zerg? I saw vults like 2 tiimes EVER. P's don't play on this map, do they? No stupid fast strats to abuse.
why don't they close their entrance with workers? you can close your ramp under dweb, so no one can pass nor kill the workers? o.Oa I just thought maybe it would work
Well it's not that unexpected really. Cool is pretty good and defnitely capable of beating Darkelf. The Iris vs Up match would have been a clear win for Iris a month or two ago when he was peaking. Up is so unpredictable too so overall that game was a tossup as well. As for the 2v2 it's totally random. Not sure Much would have beaten Tester either.

Yeah, I was wondering as to why sAviOr wasn't out at ALL - why send out an angry fat guy whose eyes are barely open (Darkelf ^_^ he's worse than most stereotypical asians) when you can send out Jesus.

how the fuck did up beat iris... cheese build? i can't see how iris can lose t.t
I bet on CJ but I'm glad eSTRO won 3-0. Always good to see underdogs win.
I think in order for DMZ to remain a substantial map, it either has to: a.) Fuck zergs, go P/T as a 2v2 Team. Stronger workers, better rushing capacity and ability to defend. b.) GET RID OF THOSE FUCKING CENTER RAMPS FROM THE MIDDLE. Or make it 815-esque ramps.

Just saw the VODs. Game 1 was pretty onesided, and Darkelf was fucked from the start.
Game 2 however was really really good. One of the best TvT games Ive seen this season. Constant action and cool BO from niSeung as usual, both players played very good.
Also was funny to see Xellos going into the box after Oversky and TheManias 2v2 incident. He did not look happy
If CJ don't start playing savior and much in 1v1's then I'm going to have to go back to being a KTF supporter. Although on the other hand it was good to see a zerg player beating down a terran. Definitely not seeing enough of that these days.
Drones have more range though, I agree, P/T is much better, marine/scv, zealot/probe is gg, just need good micro. I don't see zerg use zerglings/drones though, kinda weird combo.
