Have At You! #6
Bi-weekly Broodwar Tournament Countdown:
Viewable on: https://twitch.tv/schamtoo
Where: All matches will be attempted to be played on ICCUP. Channel: HaveAtYou
When: Saturday, Jun 10 7:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) Countdown:
Who: Literally anyone who can get on ICCUP.
Prizepool: $100 1st - $55 2nd - $25 3rd - $10 4th - $10
This is being sponsored/funded by me, personally.
Rules:
- ICCUP Competitive Rules apply: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/Competitive_Rules
- Map Banning will be done via Smash.GG website. The Map Banning process will be the same as Smash Melee (I’m trying something here). Order: A player bans 1 map, then B player bans 2, then A bans 1, then last map is map to be played on. Loser of first map picks 2nd map after winner bans 1. Salty runbacks are allowed (Salty Runback: A loser can re-pick a map they have lost on, however if a player has won on that map, they cannot pick it again).
- Map pool: Fighting Spirit, Circuit Breaker, Camelot, BlueStorm, Neo Jade
- YOU MUST CHECK IN TO YOUR MATCH (not the tournament) ON SMASH.GG. Go to the bracket, click on your match (when the bracket is live) and CHECK IN.
- For each match players must use the dialogue box on Smash.gg website to start your match, engage it by clicking on your match. There's a chat box available to chat with your opponent.
- Join "HaveAtYou" during the time of the tournament, DQ's are given out after 15 minutes of being late!!
- Report results after each match, both winner & loser (loser doesn't have to, but it goes faster) should confirm on Smash.gg.
- You must email your replays to schamtoo@gmail.com after every match.
- If a player disconnects during the first 2 minutes of a game they will be granted a re-match. Any problems arising will be revised case-by-case.
- As of now, we have no limit on what races can be played.
- tldr; Go to smash.gg, click your match, check-in, ban maps, pick race, chat if you need to on there or iccup lobby, play match, record results, continue through series, after series email. Here's a nice gif of the process: http://imgur.com/a/pCG59

That's not good to hear for audiences. I would not push myself to cast when I was sick(I got serious flu and barely streamed last 3 weeks). If there's an another person who can substitute for your place, that would be nice.

@schamtoo if you can find a co-caster for me i can cast with them while you can just work on doing transitions/observing/running the stream
if i have to solo then unfortunately i'm going to bail - i hate solo casting.

GGs! Thanks for letting me cast, hope you feel better! And as always, thank you for running this tour.

Well since the Filthy Cup thread is locked, i wanted to say that it would be good to change the tournaments to the current patch(1.18.xx), the turn rate "thing" works pretty well and the online experience is pretty good now on the blizzard servers, also is more straight foward to get to the blizzard servers than getting into iccup and patching to a previous version making a different folder or whatever(but that's just my opinion). In addition i think it was a great idea to change the maps as someone said in the comments to the maps that were used at the recent ASL, but i believe it would be better to add polls regarding maps to be played, patch version, or any other topic you want, so everyone would have the oportunity to express themselves without starting figths, just one click to vote and that's it, problem solved and you get the feedback you need(killing two stones with a bird). Well i hope this post helps you, and by the way as i have typed before in other posts, you have done a very job at casting and i aprecciate your effort into this, so would be nice that with minor changes everything start getting better

These are my new proposed rules for 1.18.
Rules
- ICCUP Competitive Rules apply: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/Competitive_Rules
- All games must be played on 1.18, on US-West. You must be in channel HaveAtYou at all times between games. Default Turn Rate of 8, unless both players agree to a higher level.
- Map pool: Fighting Spirit, Outsider, Camelot, BlueStorm, Neo Jade
- Smash.gg must be used (Instructions below)
- 1st Round DQ is after 20 minutes, subsequent rounds are after 15 minutes.
- Every round will be Bo3, Finals Bo5. Single Elimination
Step by step:
- Smash.gg
- Sign into your account.
- Go to the tournament's bracket page. Find your name/match and click on the box of you & opponent.
- Check-In to your match. Your opponent and you will go back and forth between banning maps, and picking a map, then your race, then it will suggest a lobby name for you to use.
- After your match, click on the box, record results, confirm. Proceed to do the same for Map 2,3 etc.
- In StarCraft
- Join US-West
- Go to channel HaveAtYou
- Find your oppponent, or use the lobby suggested by Smash.gg
- Play match.
- End of match SEND YOUR REPLAY to SCHAMTOO@GMAIL.COM
- Go back to Smash.gg (Step 1.4 above)
Notes:
- No I'm not changing from Smash.gg
- The BNet server doesn't matter once you're in game. (If you can prove otherwise, let me know).
- Your replays in 1.18 on Windows save to your "My Documents" -> "StarCraft" -> "Maps" -> "AutoSave"
- TT1 is noob.

It's 2 birds with 1 stone it's ok, English isn't my first language either.
I personally feel that changing maps is the easiest way for a tourney to feel fresh and differentiate it from other tours, so I agree with MymSlorm about the map stuff, not sure about everything else.
