If you are following the Recommended snipealot thread, you may have recently noticed a lot of games played on odd maps with Larva as the obs/caster. Larva, aka Lim Hong Gyu, has been receiving a weekly sponsorship from MUSINSA store and is organizing and casting semi-regular sponsored matches at around 10-11 PM KST.
He proudly introduces himself as HongGameNet's Hong and hopes you tune in to enjoy some of the matches!
As there is no schedule or system to this, all we can do is turn on HOGN every evening and hope to tune into some epicness. To see some of the past matches, go here and look for odd maps. Chances are HOGN will be among the observers.

Very cool, thanks for the post!
I wonder how these show matches are sponsored. Watching the streams, for his own sponsored matches against pro's, donors/fans often provide the best-of format (1/3/5) and balloon amount and let the players go for it.
Watching some of these HongGameNet matches, it doesn't look like the donors specify balloon amounts and opponents. It almost seems like there's a pool of donations and Larva seeks out which pros are Afreeca streaming at the time and organizes something. I've seen Larva send balloons to winners after the match from his account, so presumably from this 'pool'
Good business decision from Larva, as he tends to re-stream the VODs of the casted matches when he is away/not actively streaming. Even showing VODs, Larva is among the most watched Afreeca BJs, like Sonic. Good passive income during the 50-75% of the day he is not doing live streams

Yeah he's sponsored by some MUSINSA store. Since the sponsorship deal is just in the early stages, he receives sponsorship on a weekly basis.
The winning player of the rankings for each month gets 1000 balloons and I assume he just does with the rest as he likes.

he feels like it's a waste of time considering he's happy how much he's earning as an afreeca broadcaster atm

It's vods so I assume it's the same game on Loki that's already been recommended. ^^

Thanks for the updates.
Interesting that hero and ZerO get so may more opportunities compared to the other pro's. If I recall, they also played among the most in the August series

With the close top two I wonder if there's going to be a showdown to decide the winner for September

He's sponsored by Sbenu for 3 months (may be extended). There'll be a team battle on Monday (ex-CJ, SK etc.) Bo3 matches between on-the-spot picked BJs on tue-wed, normal personal stream on Thursday and KotH on Friday. Saturday and Sunday normal stream or rest. I'll post it as news tmrw. Another great move by Sonic imo.

How big is Sbenu? I know he has AOA and IU contracted and that's about it.
