First of all, all Bo3 would be on the same map, otherwise there is no point of having a map line-up weekly; this makes for a lot of stale series.

Second of all, Bo3 eliminates the potential for upsets - which in a way is a good thing, BUT - if a lower skill player knows they are playing a higher skill player, and knows their weaknesses, they can come up/practice a counter-build or cheese or all-in. Even some games that were not TvT have lasted upwards of an hour and more in DRTL before.

Fifth, we have had casting of a large number of DR games in the past, usually almost all of them. This would create a huge amount of games but not necessarily more EXCITING games. This therefore makes casting even the recommended games harder, because who will sift through all the reps and recommend games? What would prevent players from recommending their own games and not being objective about it? The recommendation system would also make lower skilled players less likely to get the opportunity to get their replays casted, which I think is one of the most rewarding aspects of DR leagues.

Sixth, I doubt the majority of the league wants to play Bo3 format, since you've been the only one asking for it or defending it. The poll for DRGOT was dominantly in the favor of Bo1 vs. Bo3, even though that is probably the most appropriate setting for a BoX series.





I support Bo7 with ace match. With PPs included, I don't see the downside of having more games, and ace match is always exciting and brings out some of the best games in past DRTLs. We also have a really nice pool of players right now, some teams are more than capable of fielding 6/7 players, while others can resort to PP.
