I just wouldn't like watching games with Fighting Spirit and Destination in there because those are maps everyone seems familiar with and are just very boring now. I get enough snipealot fighting spirit games. Destination is pretty swell imo, i can agree i really hate even looking at FS anymore. HBR wouldnt be too bad, id like to see Longi and stuff like that too though.

I don' t understand anymore why people are saying Sunkan Should merge with Phoenix or DeSPA. Neither persons or captains from any of those 2 teams said they wanted to merge, though if really necessary, then merging should be done. The fact that we are having more new players sign up is quite a good thing, From previous seasons playing on Sun Kan, we never flat out dropped games even though our roster contained of only 5-6 players at most for a bo7. If people are signing up to play, then they show that they want to make commitments to this league. Walkovers will happen. It's a part of life playing brood war. Shit happens. It happens in every league, whether it be a bo7 or a bo3 between 2 guys. I don't think reducing match length is going to stop walkovers, but rather reduce the amount of players that can play. Less matches necessarily creates less walkovers than more matches, this is a fact. If you have 4 people who can play on a day, and its a Bo5, you have 1 walk over. If its a bo7, you have 3 walk overs. This is simple math. Talk of SunKan or Despa being made it merge is because previously, one of those teams had ONE player on them, and the other team had TWO. And we barely have enough free agents to get teams to the bare minimum they need. It only makes sense to merge them if we don't have enough players to fill the team.

If we're gonna play maps that are unusual, have little testing, are blatantly imbalanced, *please* have some sort of map rotation. I remember one season... I think it was DRTL3 where we had Chain Reaction, Jade, and Gladiator all in the same pool. Imagine how difficult it was to send poor Terrans out in an environment with 40-50% Protoss players and 60% maps that drastically favor P>T. I feel like Kipsate, a Terran, quit our team pretty rapidly because he just couldn't stand TvP, especially on those maps. Of course it could all just be the allure of DotA2 but that's another story... Please please please think about maps carefully before just throwing in whatever seems cool.

Balance should be given consideration before all else when choosing maps.

Seeing FS and some of the shit maps we got now is kinda boring imo.

But yeah, I do agree that maps like Fighting Spirit should be removed. It might be a rather balanced map in terms of natural matchup advantages, where P>T>Z>P, but it hardly shows any innovative play that might inspire other players to go for... Maps like Tau Cross, Andromeda, and Triathlon... Heck, why not add some BMWN, like Gemlong or Resonance?

Seconded. FS must remain in the map pool. It is the most balanced map that everyone knows. If people who are pressed for time and need to be in the line-up, they can be put on FS because they don't need to learn the map or fail trying to get ladder games on the weird maps in the little time they have left.

Agreed. The pool needs at least one basic map in case players get busy and don't have time to learn new maps for whatever reason.

Anyway, I hope that the the pool will be static, so 5 maps, or maybe a fixed rotation with 7. Otherwise, there will be too many maps to practice imo.
