Can't resist responding unfortunately but do actually watch any Starcraft or just look at numbers? a base that's open in EVERY direction for tank shelling and elevatoring, with the natural in tank range... notice Jangbi went 12nex into 2base carriers both times. You think that's a nice reliable build you can repeatedly do? No fucking chance. They are both risks. Jangbi took the risks and it paid off that's all.
Also, keep in mind Jangbi having no third and crap eco for most of the game. It was still close in the later parts, just not totally fully in Fantasy's hands.

jangbi throws up his nexus pretty early, before he even gets his cybercore, while fantasy's expand is delayed slightly due to the zealot harass. then fantasy decides to get greedy and goes for an early goliath build instead of getting turrets in order to shut down any kind of shuttle play - this causes him to skimp on tank/vulture count. the plan doesnt go well for him even though jangbi went reavers because jang was able to spot it right away. in the end the shuttles ended up doing a lot of damage anyway and the goliath tech basically went to waste. jangbi was able to do a bulldog push at fantasy's natural and because there was zero turret support to shoot any shuttles down and all the goliaths were in fantasy's main.
So funny story, I'm watching the OSL finals, it goes to game 5, everything's on the line, and then 2 seconds after Fantasy puts down his starport my laptop crashes and dies completely out of the blue and I have no other computer available to jump on and finish watching. Still cannot believe I missed that game live, I'm just thankful Emon was so fast on the vods. Definitely going to rewatch this whole series with Moktira's vods too. Unbelievable JangBi, you are a goddamn hero.
Game 3 was the point at which I realized this series was going to be epic. Pretty standard Game 1 and 2 (BO advantages forcing desperate play -> fail).
But then Game 3... Relatively even openings.... then Fantasy goes goliath defense against shuttles -> reaver timing. BUT THEN JANGBI GETS A SECOND SHUTTLE AND EXECUTES SOME OF THE PIMPEST PLAYS EVER SEEN IN THE OSL!
Game 4 was hugely epic, but more because of the epic fail on both sides than actually any merit.... Fantasy blundering badly losing his entire main to a single reaver. Then Jangbi double-blundering, failing to snipe the CC and then losing his probe before plopping down a nexus.
I've been waiting for this moment for such a long time. Jangbi, you are an inspiration. Thank you for keeping hope alive even when you were on the ropes so so many times. Thank you for showing that hard work and determination pays off in the end. Thank you for hanging in there all these years through all the disappointing losses. It makes this moment all the more sweeter.

Moreover, Jangbi could've loaded probes in his shuttles to create a diversion to snipe tanks with reavers. I mean, that still works, right? And he was kinda lazy loading both reavers in one shuttle, when he had two. Sigh... I was so desperate... lol
so this was probably the best finals series since GGplay vs iris. every game was fucking awesome to watch, and game 5 SO TENSE.
ranking for me looks like (for finals that occured after GGplay vs iris)
1) fantasy vs jangbi 2) fantasy vs stork 3) jaedong vs flash (NATE MSL) (yea i know the power outage SUCKED, but besides that the games were awesome) 4) fantasy vs jaedong 5) july vs best
I just watched the finals, and i have to say: Fantasy's Attacks were absolutely terrible. It's almost like fantasy doesn't know how to target interceptors. He keeps running goliaths round and round getting hit, but never attacks.
