This is why I can never take zergs who complain about terran mech turtle imba seriously.
Not that I mind this style of zerg strategy. Quite the contrary. It makes for great games, especially when put against a competent opponent. Much better than lair all-ins preferred by many lesser players.
Excactly. Only Jaedong, Soulkey, Zero, sometimes Hydra have the guts (read: skills) to really go for the long games nowadays. It's so much more entertaining and awesome

100% agreed. I don't think Grape realized how well he was doing. He probably thought all his efforts up to this point were futile, while he actually played very well.
Ya, exactly.
I do this all the time when I'm playing vs someone on Iccup that I know has a much higher rank than me. No matter how well I'm actually playing I still just feel despair and that I'm ultimately going to lose no matter what. Then I go back, watch the rep and realize ''Hey, if had just remained focused I would've actually been in a decent spot here!''. I think that was Grape's big problem in the last game; his mental strenght.
Uh, Grape was definitely completely dead when he GGed. There was no way for him to come back from that.
his last attempt at moving out was out of desperation, if he had used those storms for defending he coulda held it off possibly (probally not but the its plausible)

Yeah me too! But seriously Protoss, atleast, look so much more unkillable early game nowdays - if you're not doing all-ins. I don't even remember when I saw a ling run by the last time.
Yes, recent PL games doesn't look like oldschool D/D- ling all-ins, remember guys? And more and more players try to engage into a long macro game with tons of units. No more cheese, more clean mechanics. I still think that inability to vary his gamestyle can turn out very costly for Jd, it looks like he will eventually lullaby his strategical thinking. It seems like he "ahh, fuck it, I will eventually roll over you anyway, because my mechanics and multitasking is so much better, 3 times doing the same bo. And it doesn't look like he's trying to change anything.

I dont care if you invented starcraft, imbalance whining is obnoxious and makes for horrible LR discussions
it's not really whining, but i guess this is probably how a discussion turns out when you critizize one of the jd/flash or bisu and their fanboys

I think it was mainly the fact that Grape really wasn't prepared for late game; he couldn't get the 4 gases necessary to accumulate the reaver/archon deathball. It's definitely something that comes with experience, which Grape doesn't quite have yet
Grape looked like he wanted to GG after every engagement in that last game. 4base P vs. 4base Z, Grape wants to tap out. Keep at it, though. Maybe next time you'll do better

I disagree. I actually thought that was one of the more interesting PvZ series in recent memories, particularly because both players opted for the same general strategy/game plan over all the games. It was really interesting to see how each player immediately adapted and adjusted according to what happened the game before. Super cool to see the different understandings and approaches to the matchup from the same general framework.
this is some piece of thought from a person who knows what he's saying.. I wish there could be an A- guru here to explain us the details of the game time after time.

Ya he was, talking about the game in general here.

I'm not gonna say it's imba or anything but I really dislike that style. Most of the time it means the game will be over without anything interesting happening. And it did seem grape gave up way too early. As long as he held the lower left side he was in decent shape. The attack on the main was gone a second after he left lol. It coud have probably gone another ten minutes or so. Anyway Go Mind!
