I really do not enjoy watching these kind of games. It is not about playing a solid game, it is about increasing the variance by gambling on things you can't influence. I would have much rather liked to see Bisu go for a straight game but it is understandable that he was afraid after the beating he took from Flash last game. Scouting luck was with him and that was that. Nothing wrong with it, that is the right strategy, but the Winner's League format leads to these ugly not watchworthy games.

Is it just me or you are insinuating that Bisu cheesed? >.< Cmon, its understandable to be unhappy, but down-playing the opposite side just to illegitimise their win over your side is ... unbefitting of such a senior poster (a Tank!).. What i saw from Bisu was a well-prepared build that is customised for the map, after analyzing his opponent's past plays carefully. There was early Zeal pressure, and some standard Goon pressure into double-expanding.. Of course Flash's 5-fact all-in made the game look short, but it doesnt look much different from a variance of a standard PvT.. Sure the build looks tailored for Flash.. But that is what you do, especially in high-stake games, not "fk preparation, ima play standard and hope to win".. After watching the VoD for the 3rd time, Flash's scouting SCV didnt even reach the ramp of the empty base (that he wrongly scouted) when Bisu's 1st Zeal said high to Flash's SCV.. Flash scouted late, and paid the price for that.. His rine micro was brilliant, but it wasnt enough to win him the game.. Thats how i feel.

Bisu has all my sympathy in his emotion, I just know how he felt, and the feeling is nothing short of utter bliss As I already stated: I meant that the gif itself didn't work. I actually have been requesting it myself as I wanted to see that again and couldn't find it in the VODs that I downloaded from the VOD tracker. I LOVE BISU! :D

I disagree with everything in this post. It is a good thing that a team can't just rely on one player. Depth should have a meaning in proleague. That is a very important aspect of proleague - proleague is not the same thing as the starleagues in this case. That being said, WL is the part of proleague where the big stars have the opportunity to shine by carrying their whole team anyway so your argument is a bit strange. And don't even insinuate that Bisu cheesed that game, please. He did go for a straight game, you must have fanboy glasses.

He did go for a straight game, you must have fanboy glasses. Call it cheese or not, but to be fair, he said he went for a build that would put him at a disadvantage if Flash had gone for a factory expand, and that "for his strategy to work" he needed Flash to go Barracks into expansion. "When I pushed out with my Zealots, for my strategy to work, Flash had go for a rax expand, but if he had gone for a factory expand instead, then I could have been at a disadvantage, but since the game went the way I wanted it to go, I was able to win." - Bisu (from the Post-game interview) But I don't know how sincere he is - Korean players (MC aside) are known to be humble about their success.

Anyway congrats to SKT --- and especially Bisu for playing a flawless game. Felt bad for Flash though when he pushed out knowing it was his last chance. He probably had a good plan that got totally wrecked ![]()
