It's not always a matter of race matchup. If Idra can get past Sangho, he's my choice for that group. I'm pretty confident that he would beat Boxer in a straight up TvT.
Just take one look at Sangho's stats and compare them to IdrA's. I can see IdrA maybe beating Sangho on FS, maybe, and that's a HUGE maybe. If IdrA takes a game off Sangho, that will be an upset in and of itself, let alone if he takes the series. I hope he proves me wrong though, we need to get him into televised games soon, show off those Gosu American skills that people hate on all the time.
I never put him as a favourite over Sangho. I was discussing his chances vs. Boxer if that somehow happens and those chances are definitely not deserving of a emoticon.
And i'm saying that IdrA is never going to play Boxer, so why even hypothesize?

Maybe because people are discussing if Idra would be able to beat Boxer? What does it matter if there are chances. You probably would have said the same thing about Calm vs Kwanro finals. It definitely isn't impossible for Idra to defeat Sangho, even if he isn't the favorite. Favorites don't always win.

Are you retarded? Its not because YOU say that its not going to happen that there is 0% chance that it will. Idra can beat Sangho, yes it will be an upset, but its definitly not impossible, and thus he might play Boxer.

Seeing Idra come out of a pretty easy group 20 would be nice. (although Rock could go 1 base carrier and use that good skill toi have :/) Nada and Savior better make it out or I'll be sad Backho needs to be in here.
Idra showed he can beat Stork straight up. As good as Sangho is compared to someone like Nony or White Ra, there's still a huge difference between Stork and Sangho.
Our opinion of IdrA has been seriously inflated by watching him stomp inferior competition in the TSL. However I still think he has a legitimate shot in this qualifier—or odds at least as good as any known Korean B-teamer: not negligible. Anything can happen in Bo3s (even for "straight up" players like IdrA).
I asked Artosis to talk about IdrA's group in SC Weekly…hopefully he'll give IdrA decent odds to advance.
