Regardless, Iris now has 6 bases, so he still might be able to just wear out Soulkey if he uses his vesels to just rape everything.

At one point when Iris moved out with his mnm (no tank/vessal yet), Muta's got in and killed like all the scvs at the main, and the mnm's were forced to turn back after doing nothing because lurkers popped. At one point it was 4 base z vs 3 base terran with weakened economy, but iris got his 4th up at the other main, and turtled the shit out of it while abusing medic walls and mnm mobility to keep Soulkey at 4 bases.
So I'd say Iris was significantly behind when his mnm force wasted so much time and he lost a lot of scvs, but he turned it around by limiting Soulkey's expansions while slowly expanding himself leading to a very powerful mass tank army.

Almost impossible to deal with, with the immobility of Terrans siege and whatnot.

Looked to me like Iris advanced planning to counter. When his army encountered Guemchi's he hesitated for a second, and I think in that moment he realized he didn't have enough scans to counter, so he stopped.

Woongjin did really well in WL last season too, they went 7-4 and just missed WL playoffs on tiebreakers, would have made it if they beat STX in the last match of the round. Not being forced to use a Terran really works in their favor.
Pretty awesome for Stars to win a match where Free, Kwanro, and Zero didn't even play.
