Yeah, I was thinking that Movie would get his goons there in time to hold it off, actually. He got Flash to pull off the bunk for a little bit, resulting in it being destroyed, but I think if Flash hadn't reacted so ridiculously fast, losing mere seconds, Movie would have had the defenses from goon to hold back the push. When Flash scouted wrong way, I was thinking "Omg, this could end up being a 2-2...". Flash's instincts to go in immediately were amazing. If Movie had microed better, I think he could have held it off till his goon came.
I'm still so proud of Movie. He did some amazing openings, but just never could turn the advantages in the first two games into a decisive win. I guess that only further shows that the right player won.

I thought that was overall a pretty intense finals, apart from game 1. Flash definitely brought his game, and Movie played like he would on a good day. However, he did make major mistakes such as not killing the SCV constructing the turret and coordinating his attacks. Flash would've still probably won but it would've been more exciting.

Just watched the series and:
Movie played well but the way I hate the most. Gas steal, 12 nex, proxy robo, dt + reaver... Makes me cringe. Typical abuse of PvT. But I have to admit he played very well. His switch of strategy in game 1 was great. Going dt+reaver also was pretty good one but Flash defended soooo well... And the way Flash punished 12 nex was incerdible. I was sure it was too late for the rush but he still pulled it off.
So happy for Flash. You deserved it sooo much!
Edit: I forgot elevator in game 2...

I don't know how people are on here saying Movie played a great series or that he'll surpass the other P's. He didn't show anything tonight that stood out in any way, shape, or form. These were the fking OSL Finals and that guy did not step his game up.
I especially liked how he suicided about 90 supply straight at Flash's sim city in Game 1 as soon as he got 200/200. Apparently, he's from the P school of 1a2a3a. Then he recalled two armies in Flash's base without any frontal diversion just to watch them get slaughtered.
Game 2 He tried for shuttle reaver/dt imba combo, got pretty much nothing out of it other than delaying mines, and then flailed about for a few more minutes before he got owned. Highlight of this game was watching Movie build 5 templars and manage to get off 0 storms in the fight. Pretty solid PvT there. I'm sure he's going to surpass Stork/Bisu any day now.
I agree. Game 3 was the only time when Movie really surpassed my expectations of him. I have watched too many of his PvT's where he gets a spacious economic lead, and proceeds to lose after suiciding army after army to marginal effect. Obviously he tried very hard here, but it's just as obvious that Stork or Bisu would have done better (contrary to what some are saying).

Flash would've probably lost with Movie's strategies and Stork/Bisu's execution, but that's just how scary Flash is, a complete player. I saw again game 4 and it seems to me that flash heads to the right location before he can see the probe coming, any reasons why he could possibly to do this or just star sense?

It was goddamn cheesy but terrible. Idk... If he managed to pull out one or two storms he would have won. The thing is that Flash saw HTs and used the timing window before HTs had enough energy for the storm. I'm sure P on ICCup will use this build to make Terran players cry more about the TvP imbalance

One base. Robo with Reavers, Shuttle, DT, and you want storm? The thing is, Flash was on 50 supply 2 bases and he was on barely 40 supply 1 base when he came in with his reaver. The moment his build didn't KILL flash, he had lost the game. Even if the attack of Flash would have gotten destroyed(it wouldn't have). There's a reason you don't see the build.
