Shine has 0 zvt skills imo, apart from his excellent muta control. I just can't see him even putting up a decent fight against flash. This is a question of who has the best chance of 2-3ing flash. Movie has the far better chance. Movie has, and always has sick micro and multitasking. His lategame is solid.

Shine is not looking much better in ZvT though...

Realistically I don't think anyone thinks either of them are a threat to Flash. It's just that seeing Flash's FvZ for the past few months Movie looks to have more of a chance. I mean seriously if you're life depended on a progamer taking 1 game off of Flash and you had to choose between Shine and Movie would you honestly take Shine?

I would.

Flash's only losses in tvz come from really aggressive muta play that pokes a hole in his defense. What's shine's MO? Really aggressive muta play that pokes holes in defense.

Movie, on the otherhand, flounders early game PvT and hopes he can win by throwing arbiters at the T until he loses -- a viable strategy, but unless you have Best's perfect macro, I don't think you can make up for early game mistakes vs Flash.

Movie likes to go for more unorthodox builds, which, as a protoss, doesn't faze Flash. See Flash v. Sangho? @ Neo Medusa.

It is possible. Like if Flash gets back injury or catches H1N1.

Or if Shine goes

4 pool
All in muta
4 pool

I would love to see the kind of treatment Shine would get.

As long as Movie can drag Shine out into the late game, he will win.
As long as Movie becomes invincible to muta harass in early game, he will win.
If Shine v.s. Bisu and Shine v.s. Stork and Shine v.s. Zergs served to prove anything, it proves that Shine's primary weapon is muta control.

The problem is, Shine is aware of that as well...
And funnier still, godly or lucky muta harass is the currently the only proven way to defeat Flash...

If it's not Jaedong or FireBatHero then I default to rooting for Protoss, barring extenuating circumstances. As should you all.

Or flash forgetting a turret.

I usually always root for the swarm, but just don't like this guy, and my CJ fanboyism leads me to go for movie...

Not sure if you meant that you are going to betray CJ or root for the Terran who plays in Movie v.s Shine or just that you want all FOX fans to betray their teams.

On the other hand, I do like how this got a thread already while the MSL is actually happening a day sooner...about 5 hours away in fact.

Put the this way:
Movie cannot do the things that have recently beaten Flash in TvP.
Shine can do the things that have recently beaten Flash in TvZ.

That post clearly proves that you haven't been watching Flash's TvZs lately. What do Flash's losses to Hyun, Zero, and Calm have in common: great early Muta harass. Whether or not if gives much of a chance or not, it clearly gives zergs the best chance. Oh, wait, let me edit that for fanboys: misplaced turrets/glitched scvs making turrets/heartbreak ridge gives zergs the best chance. Didn't want to offend anyone. -_-

Anyway, I love that Shine beats Bisu and Stork, and yet he's going to get 3-1ed by Movie, with the lone win on the much hated El Niño (where Shine is actually 1-1 vP). This just shows that there is still no respect for Shine. If Shine wins, all the haters will blame El Niño, call Shine's aggression cheesy (which is funny because the only protoss cheesier than Movie is Horang2), and bitch about ZvP imba. And if Movie wins, more people will call him an S-class ZvPer (el oh el), they'll label Shine as a fluke, and call Movie some kind of revolutionist (by far the most overused word these days).

Basically, no matter what Shine does, you'll find a way to spin it in such a manner than Shine is still not good enough. Bravo, haters.

Ironically, I think this post would fit Savior v.s. Reach in the UZOO MSL final.

But Shine will never be Savior.

Except Reach was already good, and already recognized as good, as opposed to Movie who's recognized as good but isn't actually good. And Reach wasn't a cheesy all-in'ing Protoss vT and vP either.

Incase you didn't see the 3rd game between Movie vs Zero, you might want to check that and then say whether movie is good or not.

I'm rooting for movie, I imagine it will be 3-4 him.

There was no third game...Movie 2-0 Zero. I think you meant the 2nd game.

But anybody who say that Movie has no PvZ is deceiving himself. Zero is one of the top ZvP player and had a 13 vP streak.

How about you also mention that in those same games with early muta play Flash fucking steamrolls the Zerg player? Because it works once every 10 games doesn't automatically make it a good idea. Calm was literally this close to being 3-0'd with his great muta micro. Something else is needed besides muta micro to beat Flash.
