I'm not sure why... Because it let's Jaedong (fans) be all "oh well Jaedong got cheesed and there's nothing he could have done about it"

fuck, Flash won, that means no christmas for me this year T.T

I cannot come to terms with how Flash wanted to be respected like Jaedong is, and still did a cheesy build. He wanted to be seen as his rival, and a legitimate victory tonight would have earned him the coveted title of JD's rival. I can't believe Flash fan's enjoyed that. I can't see him gaining any respect in the eyes of fans for that. It was nothing but a massive disappointment. First game was STRAIGHT UP, and it was a one-sided rape This game was so much more exciting than the first game. Game one was a win, based on one or two mistakes on JD's part and immaculate play on Flash's part. It wasn't one-sided rape. It was a very close game that was enjoyable to watch. JD lost at a certain point, after-which it was not very exciting.
This game was similar, in that JD lost at a precise moment, prior to which the game was in the balance. The difference was that Flash forced the exciting turning point to happen within the first few minutes of the game. It was not more exciting.
EDIT: for past tense.

EDIT: Even if I weren't a Calm fan I would be pulling for him to smash Flash in the semis because of the shit we have just witnessed. Tell me. Would you rather watch game 1 again, but on HBR? or the game we just witnessed? Fighting Spirit and HBR are two different maps, and JD had a week to prepare very hard. Don't use that analogy.

first game flash played perfectly and walked over jaedong. what i hoped for was jaedong to practice his ass off for his game against flash and they'd have at least one awesome game. regardless who won, as long as it was a good game.
flash bunker rushing and jd not being able to respond/handle it isn't what i'd call an awesome game. i am disappoint T_T

It's an incredibly smart thing for Flash to do, he had the leeway to lose this and go for a third game, it was unexpected, it's mixing up its play, and its sending a message to his future opponents that he does mix it up, which may/will affect their judgement. An exiting 8min game > 15minrape.

I like Flash but I'm by no means a fanboy. I always like good and long games and I would prefer a 1 hour TvZ on HBR with Jaedong winning and a third game with Flash winning, but still, this is how it played out.
Also try to pull of a bunkerrush against a caliber like Jaedong, then you will know why its respetable :-)!

Skyhigh: retaliation Fantasy: lots of retaliation Hwasin: The only cheese without retaliation. Good use of those facts, btw, and we're not even talking about other games or their overall reputation but THIS CASE IN PARTICULAR.
No, hes talking about how Flash can consider himself a rival to JD when he cheeses. It has NO logic behind it at all. Cheese is a BIG part of JD's game, thats why he is a Bo5 monster.

im sorry, but i dont want to be chillin', seein people talk about flash vs jaedong, just to see some guy's naked chest pop up in front of my face no thanks

lol boxer vs yellow and it's 5 pages? how far we have come o.O

Flash is in incredible position. His future zerg opponent will now have an additional dilemma to think about.
|
Can we all just agree that:
Flashed won legitimately with a strategy that served him best Flash Cheesed. The game was overall disappointing.
And drop it?
|
I don't fault flash for his strategy, I was just hoping for a more interesting game. oh well.
|
People dissapointed in the game should keep in mind that it wasn't just Flash who was responsible for how quickly it ended, Jaedong was too! He should have expected something like that considering Flash won the first game, but instead he played right into the most obvious strategy that Flash had available.
