Alright, after a good many years of hovering around here and about 1000 games played I feel like I've hit a brickwall in terms of playing SC.. this game is a good example of how I consistantly fail to realize the true situation in a game; included is my oh-so-detailed breakdown of what I suppose went wrong.
I manage to fuck up the timing of my 3rd pylon. The 2nd gate was awfully late, and I did not build a second zealot for the drop (which would most likely kill BOTH tanks at his main when I dropped). I left my observer chillin around my robo instead of surveying his main, which would reveal he only had 4 tanks, three of which were so close to death it's not even funny. I even let my shuttle with the reaver die instead of banging up on those tanks with a goon+reaver combo and end the game right there. Once again I completely forget my pylons, I let the minerals rocket skyhigh instead of getting more gates (note to self: plan the pylon placement so that you can plop down gateways later with no problems). He then suddenly decides to grab all his tanks and squish me like a bug. I manage to keep most of my goons alive and pull them back, but I fail to position them so that I could at least attempt a flank later on; this push of his catches me somewhat off guard, since I expected it about 20 psi later. When I notice it's getting serious, I start pumping zealots (though having only 5 gates keeps me pinned to the ground ) and get the legs upgrade. All for naught, of course, since I flip out and attack him with all of my zealots 5 seconds before the legs upgrade finishes. It's over.

Yeah, you analyzed your own game sort of well.... =/ This probably wasn\'t anywhere near your best game, I\'m assuming?
You had a good advantage after the Reaver drop (although you could really be even more effective/harass better with it by sniping SCVs trying to build turrets) and yeah that second zealot would have helped, but you really need to work on your mechanics, particularly with macro. You threw up gates with some pretty weird timing in my opinion and basically panicked when you saw how much money you had. Also, really work on your unit mix-- I mean my god, the guy had like no vultures and was spamming tanks for almost the entire game. Throw in some zealots and you could have done a SHIT load better when that push comes out because pure goon is not going to win versus pure tank of that number unless your micro transcends the heavens. The guy was spamming his cliff also, so yeah, you should have figured he's being a douche and worry more about your own play.
I know you were trying to force your probe through the wall... but lawl? You don\'t need to worry TOO much about what the Terran is doing because knowing what Terran only has a few things that he can really... well, do. =) You basically just sort of wasted money and time trying to force your probe through. If you had suspected fact/port, I think the timing of your Reaver would have been fast enough to have seen it when you flew into his base.
Which leads me to say that you really need to work on that early game management. Your money went up to 600 something at one point and you really stalled building your robo... just DO it, man. >_> And yeah, your second gate timing was a bit late particularly with the amount of money you had. BTW, if you\'re super focused on killing that SCV and your macro isn\'t like pinpoint perfect, just queue up that second Dragoon when you have the chance because you certainly had money and gas to spare. XD
Use your observers to watch his factory count more. He was going up to five facts, and at that point you really needed those gateways up earlier. In addition, please stop throwing away units, although I know you said you started to get a bit worried, which happens for gay slow pushes. =) But your Dragoons kept trying to engage sieged tanks in the middle when you should have just pulled out, ESPECIALLY because you had no Zealot backup at all.
Losing the shuttle with the Reaver really, really hurt, especially because you could have harassed him a lot more with it or even gone back to pick up some more units to harass with. >_>
But all in all, I think you know what you did wrong... so work on it! At least you\'re really trying to get better. =D
